  1. Making great progress. Can't wait to see it in color.
  2. Then again there's perhaps a British version (phantom, of course) of Ken Kesey's Bus.
  3. Thanks for those reference pictures.
  4. Wonderful build. This thing is going to look great painted. Can't wait. Thanks for sharing it.
  5. Thanks, Nathan: here's the link to the finished snakes: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=54471&pid=634992&st=40&#entry634992
  6. Thank you, Dirk. I appreciate the kind words. I'm going to finish a couple of 41 Willyses I have on the bench, but I might come back and one more of these Cobras before April rolls around.
  7. Thanks, Donn. I don't know about monster, but I'm almost boder line gloss-addict now, that is until I start getting the hankering for some RUST! LOL! Dr. Jekyll (Rust) and Mr. Hyde (Gloss) live peacefully in the Lab-RAT-ory. That's a tale for all model builders, all right.
  8. All right, maties, I posted the finished model over in UNDER GLASS. I'm really having a blast with these snakes! Go over there and check them out, but I will give you a teaser shot here: Thank you for all the kind words and support. It's always a pleasure to build with you guys looking on. Cheers, DC
  9. Here you go, you GLOSSYHEADED HIPSTERS OF STYRENE: I posted more pictures over in UNDER GLASS "A Feast of Snakes." Cheers, DC The gloss is not out of my system yet, so watch out.
  10. Okay, last round . . .
  11. All right folks, these puppies build up beautifully and very nice. All the chrome is a bit of a pain, but if you take your time, you will be rewarded with a nice model.
  12. Ha, Danno. Wrong, I say. Wrong! LOL. Tyler, that's a wonderful color and stripes on that vehicle. I think the next one I am going to do with painted on stripes just like yours. Thanks, and do stay tuned in for more progress.
  13. That looks good. I've always wanted to build one of these kits. Looks like you are making great progress on it. Keep it going, please.
  14. Donn, this one has smooth sides all around, no trim on the outside. Just the interior.
  15. Well, the biggest of the NNL is in the North East and if you ever go (every builder should go at least once), your head will explode!
  16. LOL! You guys are all cracked up! And I mean that in a good way.
  17. Ditto on that, Danno!
  18. Here's the vid: Those of you who didn't get on this one, will get on the next. Cheers, DC
  19. A Steampunk London Bus! Knowing me, I will probably have a dream about it tonight. Thanks for the support and interest in this thread everyone. I am looking forward to seeing some great building energy and inspiration.
  20. Thanks, Ira and Ryan . . . I am making good progress. I should have this one done soon, and then maybe it's on to #3. I had three of these kits . . .
  21. No wonder the military model builder go crazy over this stuff, it's got to be fun to do such conversions. Thanks for sharing. Oh, and everyone, stay tuned in for another video update coming up in an hour or so. Those of you who are about to post more progress, you will catch the next video update. Best, DC
  22. Wayne, the camo patterns on those pick ups are very interesting. I like that picture.
  23. LOL, Bart, you are drooling all over the carpet.
