  1. Wayne, for just 2 dollars you have just bought yourself another round of fun. Delighted to see you keep the TZH FEVER at a thermometer-busting level! Cheers, DC
  2. Here are a few more: There will be lots more added to my Fotki archives in the near future as I continue to photograph them.
  3. Doctor Cranky collected JL from 1988-2004, and it really became a great compulsion. I've had them boxed in the attic for a number of years always wanting to make an archive of what I have, and so that process has started and I am happy to share some of them with you. Let's see what you've got in your collection? I used to look at these to find inspiration in my builds . . . I like them much better than Hotwheels and/or Matchbox, although I collected those too.
  4. Andy, next time such a thing happens, please get your folks to look into it. Sometimes washing your eyes out with a bit of water will help. Come on, buddy, learn NOT TO take chances and risks with your health! It's the smart thing to do.
  5. Seriously, buddy, that's amazing stuff. Thank you for sharing all this eye candy. WOW.
  6. Oh, boy, those are cool. I hope some of the loud music doesn't blast the little one's eardrums. I think these ideas would be cool to try in scale in particular now that the REVELL LONDON BUS kit is out. Thanks for starting this one, Frank. Very cool.
  7. Sweet model with lots of details and attitude. I like it.
  8. Seriously, check out some of the wonderful CB builds going on right now, including this one by CHUCK MOST: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=48762 It will help many of us snap out of it and feel less of the Styrene Blues!
  9. SPECIAL MESSAGE FROM EYEGORE TO EVERYONE having Rich's style building doldrums! YOU ARE STILL IN TIME TO JOIN THE TZH SQUAD CARAVAN COMMUNITY BUILD! GUARANTEED YOU'LL HAVE FUN AND GET TO BUILD A NEW MODEL! Go here to check out the details: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=52127&pid=618942&st=1240&#entry618942
  10. Darn it, I clicked the BUY NOW button thinking it was a good deal at 23 dollars! JUST KIDDING!
  11. Okay, Ken, you win the prize for a scratch-built item Doctor Cranky has never seen done before! Wow, really, wheels out of PVC pipe? That's amazing. Do you have any of them finished that we can look at or this is your first attempt?
  12. Some cool progress and pictures of weathering solutions. That van is absolutely wonderful. Puts a smile on EYEGORE!
  13. That's fine, I just wanted a picture of where it is currently at!
  14. Rich, it happens to us all. When I get the Styrene Blues, as I call it, I end up looking for a quick build, something that I can put together in a weekend, and the usual subject/suspect ends up being the Revell 41 Willys. There's something about that kit that always gets me fired up!
  15. Thanks for joining, Bart. Your support has helped bring the new number of folks in the CARAVAN to over 90. A couple of months more and we might have a TZH SQUAD that's over 100 builders strong, surpassing all of my expectations. Perhaps I should call the Guinness Book of World Records. THE LARGEST CARAVAN OF ZOMBIE HUNTERS IN THE WORLD! In scale, of course.
  16. You also did an outstanding job on the foiling!
  17. Jim, that's about right until what happened to me which made a mess. You've got to have a steady hand to hold the straw in front of the rattle can nozzle, if you don't well, it's time for cleanup. I recommend everyone puts on their latest gloves and their mask. You don't want to take any chances when you are working with paints. Also, goggles to protect your eyes.
  18. Elliot, I am delighted to see you over here, buddy. WELCOME, and also, great looking project. I have copied the pictures and will use them in the next TZH SLIDESHOW video. Can't wait to see more. Cheers, DC
  19. Thanks, Mark, that should help spread the word. Steven, you'll have to befriend me first. I'll go on over and check out the pictures after . . .
  20. LOL, Mark, good eye. I set it up for the picture and used coca cola instead of FANTA!
  21. Doing research on a build can take a while just because it's so much fun. Sometimes I will do the research and find that a lot more fun than having to get the kit going.
  22. I'm jumping into this very interesting conversation very late, but I have to say I tend to agree with Chuck most and a few others of you. I think modified diecast redone with new details, new paint, new graphics is a built model made out of metal instead of plastic. The other thing I will say is that I love to rob wheels and tires, and a few other parts from diecasts, and I never feel guilty about it.
