Rob, I know it's early, but that's why everyone will have plenty of time to prepare. Imagine, if you will, a famous car (racecar, movie car, etc) and the kind of costume you can prepare for it. The best example, of course, would be something from the Munsters, say, if you wanted to play Grandpa. Or whatever. You can build the car and then get in the costume. Anybody thinking SPEED RACER, RACER X, etc? It will be loads of fun!

Well, I don't know how old you are now, but you know what they say, it's never too late to keep having fun. Besides, it will be a different moment for everyone in and around the infamous date. I know some people don't celebrate Holloween and that's fine, everyone is welcomed to volunteer to participate or not. Both side are respected here.

2012 POST APOCALYPSE/ZOMBIE HUNTER COMMUNITY BUILD
Dr. Cranky replied to Dr. Cranky's topic in Community Builds
Hey, folks, I posted the idea over in the GENERAL FORUM. If you can go on over and check it out and add to the idea what you might have in mind. Thanks. Best, DC http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=53768 -
Folks, a young man here on the forum, came up with a brilliant idea for everyone, but also those participating in the TZH SQUAD CARAVAN. You can dress up as your favorite driver, or your best driver/driving personna. You can use Hollywood influences, your favorite characters, car movies, WHATEVER you can think of. Think about it, there's plenty of time, and then you can post pictures of your costumes here or if you build a matching model car to go with your outfit, you can double the fun. This is your time to really let loose and have some unbriddled fun. For those building Steampunk, Sci-fi, Mad Max, or any type futuristic/Fantasy vehicle, this is your chance to really come up with a neat costume. Age should not be a factor. LOL! This will put it in a better perspective: Let me know if you want to play and make this year extra special for Holloween 2012 and the forum.

Hey, buddy, if you don't mind I am going to make a video about this idea. Stay tuned in. I think it's going to be an absolutely wonderful addition to all the work we are putting into this. -
What are your biggest distractions?

Speaking of dogs, Donn, EYEGORE is a big fan of the LADIES, that's his number one distraction! LOL! -

Holy smokes, buddy, you did a great job. I copied some of the pictures to my files. Will use them in the next update video. Great work, and I get the feeling you'll probably build a couple more. -

LOL, that's a great idea. Oh, man, I like that in particular as we approach this year's Halloween. Steven, I think that would be cool. Everyone should do their best ZOMBIE HUNTER CUSTOME! -
Oh yeah, man, not only hungry, but also inspired to build something. The squarish nature of these trucks might be interesting to attempt a scratch-built project. Shoot, I think a John Teresi would probably make it look easy. Harry, this summer I'm planning to take pictures of the fruit vendor trucks all over the city. There are lots of them all over the place, including lots of 70s Ford Trucks with V-shaped roofs on them . . . very cool.

Ron, thanks, I copied them for the next video, thank you. -
It's the new rage, and Frank's school bus thread inspired this one. I live a city (Miami) where the lunch trucks are revolutionizing the way people on the go eat. For a model builder, they are great eye candy. If you've taken pictures of some in your city, share them here, or better yet, you can discuss some of the wildest or craziest (best) food you've had.. They are all freshly painted and fixed up. The idea is that competition is fierce, so how are you going to attract customers. It's really a fun scene, and if you haven't checked it out, I highly recommend it! Many of them have become fixtures in South Beach and in the Design District . . . and I have had plenty of food out them. Great stuff, a fusion style cuisine that often times brings people and cultures together, something that otherwise would not happen.

Shane, I was too until I realized that I would need a few hundred square feet to house my ever-growing collection, and I couldn't afford it so I stopped. Maybe one day I will resume. Most of us don't realize that there are easily over a million HW with all the variations, etc . . . it's a serious commitment, all right.
