I think this community extends beyond its virtual boundaries to include folks who begin as fellow builders and friends there and then they meet up at shows, etc . . . the community extends there, making what would normally be a very lonely task into one of the best hobbies on the planet.
Rich, here's one of the many reasons I stay tuned in to this forum. To watch wonderful builders like Donn Yost (and hundreds of others) dish out the amazing styrene eye candy.
I use Donn's work not only because he is a master builder, but because, like countless others, I consider him a good friend in this wonderful hobby!
Andy, hang in there it will all return to normal soon.
Rich, sorry your thread is suddenly filling up with a little methane, but we'll get it back on track as soon as the thread-wrecking-crew goes off to pester someone else.
Folks, once again, I've updated the FOTKI archives with everyone's WIPS. If you don't see yours, remember to post a picture (jpeg, preferable) on here, and I will collect it.

Thank you and keep the good work coming!
You know what Doctor Cranky is going to say, right?
What crawls out of the swamp makes good eatin'!
Great, inspired (unique to boot) build, buddy. Congratulations.
Thanks, Ron, you got it right. Basecoat, water, salt, dry, and THEN the top coat! Should work for you, Steven.
Best, DC.
There will be more progress tomorrow.
Harry, I would still drive it, if I got it as a good deal or someone gifted it to me!
AND, I would find interesting outfits to wear it while I am driving it.
