  1. By the way, THANKS, WAYNE, for the kind words and sentiment! Happy all of the above to you too, Peter!
  2. Monty, don't do what I did which was camp out next to my mail box until it arrived (it took but a few days). You will make your neighbors think you are a bit strange.
  3. Thanks, Eric. When I did it about two years ago, I was having the time of my life building it. It went up pretty quick.
  4. That just about CRACKED me up! The shakes and tremors, the talking to yourself, the fumbling and stumbling about . . . sure . . . i can see it. Based on your AVATAR picture, it's a wonder you could hardly move about!
  5. Isn't North Wales close to the North Pole? LOL! You know that's where that bearded fellow lives!
  6. And Neal, you gotta keep me posted of whatever local shows you guys will put on . . . I'm only about 4 hours away.
  7. Neal, you shoudn't have any trouble. When I do these kinds of builds, I just reach into the spares parts and bodies and start grabbing. How do you think I ended up hiring EYEGORE to come work in the Lab-RAT-ory. I hid a scrapple sandwich in the spares body bin and he fetches some cool stuff, and leaves no teeth marks.
  8. What is your set up going to look like?
  9. Shane, yes, I just found it. LOL! Andy, no, but you can convince one of your parents, or some other family member . . . and if you can't make it, don't worry, there's always like 5000 pictures and eye candy, but you know it's not the same as being there.
  10. I think for 2013 EVERYONE should make an effort to go to the NNL EAST. Double the 2500+ models on the tables and the audience! I am sure the after market vendors would love that!
  11. Okay, it looks like I'll have to pop some popcorn for this one and get the extra comfy chair, for I think you are going to take us for a wonderful styrene trip! Keep it going.
  12. Jim, I just saw that 77 wrecker at the LHS today it is wonderful. I have to get one or two or three . . . well, you get the picture.
  13. LOL! I knew that this thread was going to bring out all the styrene addicts! HA!
  14. Oh, Mike, you gotta make at least one show in 2012. You'll have a blast. Of course, the mothership of all shows is the NNL EAST where I went one year and my head nearly exploded from styrene overdose. I try to make at least one show every year. It's really something wonderful, delightful, and extremely fun. Not to mention you return to the bench totally inspired and rip-roaring to build your heart out!
  15. It goes to show you how utterly connected we are to each other's work, etc . . . can you imagine if we returned to another time when the only way we could enjoy each other's work was by simply going to a model car show? The addiction is really in the sharing, instant and perfect! I tell you, there's nothing like this kind of exchange to stay energized.
  16. Wonderful model, and the paint is nice and shiny!
  17. Wait! Don't tell me I am seeing what I'm seeing? You mean, these are working features you are adding to this model, John? If they are, you are really out of control! LOL!
  18. LOL, Andy, that's called Extremus Dramaticus Styrenus!
  19. Doctor Cranky's getting the following: (All Revell!) 2) 66 GTOs 2) 64 THUNDERBOLTS 2) 64 Cobras 2) 70 Chevelle Baldwin THANK YOU, MODELROUNDUP! Thank you that jolly bearded fellow who gets driven around by a bunch of prancers, dancers, and the one with the alleged red nose!
  20. Are you kidding, that's pure GOLD, that list! Wow, thank you!
  21. THANK YOU, Gregg, and all those involved in getting us back into the community of building models and sharing our styrene addictions!
  22. Of of the thing you realize about being away from the people who make building models cars their business is that suddenly you realize how most of us build alone. In the silence. Nobody around to share the work with. I don't know about most of you, but I find that the need to share is greater sometimes than the need to do other things . . . I know it sounds strange, but it's the case with me, as I am sure it's the case with many of you. So, the question is, how do you deal with time away from the bench (or from sharing your work with others)? How do the withdrawals affect you, if at all? EYEGORE wants to know, Doctor Cranky wants to know!
  23. Love the stippling effect, Lyle! Great paint and great details throughout. Another fine model in your collection!
  24. I think that blue is really going to make this one stand out. Something about blue and chrome that really go well together.
