  1. Glenn, those are all very cool rides, and excellent paint . . . thanks for sharing. I love the yellow and black 32!
  2. That's looking good, and the red of the engine is going to really stand out.
  3. Mark, there's going to be plenty of time, or to paraphrase T. S. Eliot's poem: Time for you and time for me, And time yet for a hundred indecisions, And for a hundred visions and revisions, Before the taking of a toast and tea.
  4. Bill, if you contact Ken Hamilton, he might walk you through his etching process which might be the best option for you unless you want to have a full sheet of different letters and numbers, etc, and those sheets are usually pretty darn expensive. I believe Ken has written a couple of articles on making your own etchings.
  5. LOL, it's a sign of S.S.A or SEVERE STYRENE ADDICTION!
  6. Erik, you can start your collection of templates with the next time you go to the grocery store. Look in the produce section at the onion bags, potatoes, oranges, etc . . . there's cheese cloth or other type of packaging you can spray paint through. Any kind of mesh will work.
  7. What I always love about your builds is the mileage you get out of sound building skills and simplicity, and the results like this are always refreshing:
  8. Concerning the 70 Chevelle I have painted black, I just realized I forgot to paint the little strip that goes right under the rear bumper, which is not a problem. Got it in primer, and later I will shoot the paint. Tomorrow I rub and polish the hood and body. I am keeping my fingers crossed because this one might be the best black paint job I've ever pulled off. Stay tuned in, please . . ..
  9. The decals, Dave, I had professionally printed, and they cost a small fortune, but I have enough to last me until the end of time, which might actually be this coming year! LOL!
  10. Have fun and enjoy the styrene journey with this one!
  11. Well, happy birthday, Brandon! Cheers.
  12. I don't what to tell you. The two kits I had like this, I traded, then went out and bought the Revell kit. The Revell kit is a joy to put together and paint. This one is going to fight you a little bit. I'm not saying that to discourage you from building a 49 Merc, I'm just giving you a headsup on the kit. Just my opinion. Of course, you can build this one, and then try the Revell and do a comparison of your experience.
  13. Heck for that matter, I'd like to see Galaxie LTD give it a go!
  14. My, that is slick and perfect!
  15. Gorgeous examples . . . so many to build, right? Wow.
  16. Thanks, Wayne . . . you've had a great year yourself!
  17. Great line up of vehicles. You've made some great models this year, Wayne. Thanks for sharing the eye candy with us. Can't wait to see what you cook up in 2012!
  18. One more day and I get to polish and buff my 70 Chevelle in black. Oh, I can't wait to see how it turns out and share it with you all.
  19. All this one needs is a little bit of mud spatter (you can easily to so with an old tooth brush) and a muddy base and you've got yourself a wonderful diorama.
  20. Alyn, you are always on the lookout for great how-tos. Nice job. Thanks for sharing. You are helping keep this place energized!
  21. Impressive line up, Chuck. It really is hard to pick out a favorite at this point. Rob, that's a great if not AMAZING Apache!
  22. LOL, I don't know why he wouldn't SHINY is ALLOWED!
  23. Man, I love the stance. You are getting it just right.
  24. When you can, you know this forum's currency is EYE CANDY!
