  1. Folks, as you've all heard, the world is supposed to end in 2012 (I don't believe it, but let's play along) and I am wondering how many of you would be interested in participating in a 2012 POST APOCALYPSE MODEL BUILDING CONTEST. I am posted here to get your attention, but also to gauge interest before I move it over to COMMUNITY BUILDS where I will formalize the information, the rules, the prizes, judges and other stuff. Let me know. And this time, it's for control of the world! Let's hear from you.
  2. Wow, thanks for the generous information, Terry.
  3. You've had a great year, buddy. I love the T-bird too, but lots of your builds are on my favorites list. For a minute I thought you were saying Happy Holidays because that's what I am saying to you now. Also, I hope 2012 will be a great year for you at the bench. I know you will keep the eye candy coming out way. Cheers!
  4. I sure do, Tony. I really like it. The vehicle is going to be the centerpiece of this diorama. I love it. It reminds me of how much fun one can have building such dioramas!
  5. I don't know it looks to me like it was designed by committee, a committee made up of the same 3 people who designed the Prius, Volt, Yaris . . . I'm not buying one any time soon, the real car I mean.
  6. Love the new color. Nice progress.
  7. I've always been mathematically and electricity impaired. Can't understand any of it. So I use eye-ball engineering instead.
  8. Impressive progress, keep it going.
  9. The only math I took was basic geometry and I had a hard time!
  10. The decal work on this model is of the first order. Very nice.
  11. Yes, of all the subject matter that finally had become classic because we don't build rocket ships any more. The Russians won out!
  12. I like GLOBAL ADDICTS OF STYRENE, this way it comes to simply G.A.S.! Having tried almost every single paint stand available out there, including my own usual chopstix with two sided tape, which I still use for all sorts of good painting solutions, I like Donn's pipe nipple stand because, as he says, you can turn the sucker in any direction. When you are done, you put it down and don't have to worry about the model falling off or tipping over. If you are worried about that, the flange for the pipe then is very useful.
  13. It's a wonderful gallery of exceptional builds. Thank you for sharing.
  14. EYEGORE just informed me I look crosseyed. Oh, the headache of math has Doctor Cranky feeling lost and confused, which is not his normal state! Perhaps this is the reason why we no longer fund NASA.
  15. Looking forward to a bit more progress.
  16. Geez, guess you can buy the model or buy several real cars for 5 mil! Goes to show you there's a buyer out there for EVERYTHING!

Oh man that is some of the brightest red I've seen on a model. Nice job. Great model.
  18. The color is subtle and quiet which looks perfect on this model. Very nice.
  19. I can't wait for pictures of the sprues and the body, not to mention the box art.
  20. Mike, very nice work, but are you seeing the patriotic pattern yet? You are missing a white midget to complete the trio of colors. Just an idea! Patriotic Midgets!
  21. Great job. I really like the paint and that interior is beautiful.
  22. I like the idea of a CUSTOM PAINTING BOOK! Have you guys seen the two volumes on the subject (real cars though) that CRAIG FRASER has published. AMAZING stuff. I've learned a lot from Craig Fraser over the years. I just wish more of his templates would be brought down to model painting scale.
  23. Oh yeah, now the eye candy is staring to fly! NICE!
