  1. That truck is a beauty. If I owned one in real life it would have to have the short bed.
  2. Shane, I know the feeling. I've been going through most of my kits robbing them of the good parts. I think it's a sign all right.
  3. I always worry about my headliners and since I've started using Donn Yost's pipe nipple painting stand, I always end up with un painted circle there, so I come back and paint or upholster the headliner.
  4. I sure do, I paint and detail stuff sometimes knowing full well they won't be seen unless I take the model apart. It is a form of perfectionism that sometimes just adds way too much extra time to a build, but then when you get in "the zone" it's all fun.
  5. Some pretty wild and interesting conversions!
  6. That looks like an impressive kit to build.
  7. I am hoping this thread will start a good discussion on what you paint and normally don't need to paint on your models. I tend to be pretty OCD about it and I paint everything, even when I know people will be be able to see, for example the trunk of a vehicle and under the seats, etc . . . What do you normally do?
  8. I find that I've been doing paint jobs with two bottles and I usually have a little bit left over, which I keep in case . . . When I mix in pearls into the clear I keep the leftovers too so that I can experiment with different colors and effects.
  9. One word: GORGEOUS! Love that color.
  10. You got the right eye candy flying all over the place. Another wonderful model!
  11. Classy graphics. Wonderful results!
  12. Nice clean model. Love the details and the paint!
  13. Yes, I do, and they work great, but I have a very small unit that works like a charm.
  14. Here's a little video of Donn's eye candy machines!
  15. That's the right attitude, Jeff. Yours look great.
  16. Here's a little vid I made for Donn in thanks for all the inspiration! Hope you enjoy it:
  17. First NASA, the the P.O., what's will be next?
  18. Great to see you back with more progress. That scratch-built front grill is SWEET!
  19. Well, it wasn't EYEGORE, that's for sure. Of course it was you. YOU! Now I got the glossy Gasser fever raging, and I got the two Willys painted and drying. I'm looking up at all my kits on the shelves thinking they are ALL GASSERS! LOL!
  20. I know who to blame for this new addiction to gassers!
  21. The other thing I must say about Donn's videos is that they are very viewer friendly. You have a chapter index with titles ha will help guide you through detailing a build, etc . . . So you can build and follow along in stages . . . which is what I am doing and having a blast.
  22. Terry, well put, that's EXACTLY what I was hoping. Yes, it's gotta look like the real thing, but you can do the made-up graphics and paint schemes!
  23. Stay tune in for a nice vid I got cooking!
  24. O my, that's beautiful. What color is that? Is that Testor's Bright Green?
  25. Oh my, you need to get back and finish this project. The body is just screaming for paint and color!
