  1. That's a nice way to display your models. Very cool.
  2. That looks absolutely PacerPerfect! Nice job, and thanks for the trip back to the 70s.
  3. Love the details and the interior . . . nice little ride, Jim. Nice.
  4. FABULOUS detailing. A healthy mix of Goth and Steampunk. Love it! Take your CRANKY VITAMINS and keep it going!
  5. That's a beautiful photograph. Very realistic with the trick of the cool background. Great job.
  6. LOL! Rust is in Doctor Cranky's blood, and EYEGORE's . . . well . . . he carries his rust elsewhere . . . :D LONG LIVE RUST! If only for a shiney second!
  7. So AMAZING! Wow!
  8. Classy. I love the two colors and the way the model turned out, not to mention all the photo ops.
  9. Jose, yes, I gotta see those movies again . . . but that's the idea . . . Egyptian mummies, scorpions, hiroglyphs . . . etc . . .
  10. Not so spooky, but it's a wonderful thing to be married this long. Mrs. Cranky and Doctor Cranky have clocked in 22 years and counting. Congratulations to you and the mrs.
  11. Hum . . . that's an interesting suggestion . . . one of those stakes wheels sets from a Model T or something similar . . . Maybe even something modern . . .
  12. I'm agreeing with you so far . . . yes, I also see lots of ancient gold in this thing. I better break out my Vallejo Acrylics and see what I can work out . . . I am very tempted to do a cheese cloth pattern on this and make a look a little "wrapped" . . . I also have really thought about wrapping it in scale tape but that would require several lifetimes!
  13. The tough parts are going to be these accents . . . to paint these I am going to have to take my CRANKY VITAMINS!
  14. LOL!!!! Reducer with a healthy waft of Tamiya Extra Thin Cement!
  15. Here's a bit more mocking up and ideas developing . . . I would really like your input on the wheels . . . should they be wire wheels AND have wide white walls too? Maybe just the front?
  16. Styrene addiction will do this to ya after a while! You might as well enjoy the ride! Or rather, the roll!
  17. LOL! You know that's the specialty of the house in the Lab-RAT-ory. Scrapple Sandwiches!
  18. It sure is, and I thought about stripping it and then going crazy with it, but then I put on some of the Lab-RAT-ory cool decals. Why not, right? Besides, I'm sure this one will not be the last diecast our Good Doctor will put through the Lab-Slab!
  19. I saw this one and I just had to get it . . . perfect parts-go getter, from the styrene morgue, that is!
  20. Jim, I don't think this one is going to be rusty at all . . . but then again, you never know, I can already see cobwebs here and there . . . Which reminds me, I've got to see those INDIANA JONES movies again!
  21. Yes, I can probably spend the next three years wrapping this build up in scale mummy tape, but I hope the paint job will do the trick. I'm seeing sand colors here, and some turquoise, of course, and maybe some emerald green. This build has me and EYEGORE totally obsessed!
  22. Perhaps this was the moment that sparked the idea for this build:
  23. LOL, imagine how Doctor Cranky and EYEGORE and the rest of the CREW spent the day laughing and giggling like little girls because sometimes a name says it all. Hopefully this one won't end up looking like some fossilized Egyptian doo-doo!
  24. Doctor Cranky and the Lab-RAT-ory crew have started work on a new rat rod, this one with a wild Egyptian flair . . . all EYEGORE (our faithful parts-go-getter) was waiting for was the release of the new Warhammer Fantasy "Tomb Kings" kits . . . which loaded this one all its parts so far . . . A radical chop top and a few smaller modifications have this one headed in the right direction. And you know we're singing The Bangles song! This one is pretty much box stock except for all the Warhammer bits thrown in for good measure. Of course, what makes or breaks these types of models is the paintjob and the level of detailing . . . Please stay tuned in for more . . .
  25. Nice job. The paint looks marbelized. Cool.
