  1. Oh man, you are a Manx maniac. Great little collection. Wonderful models. Now you've got me wanting to build one. Thank you.
  2. Justin, it's a beautiful model and paint job. This one is going to shine shine shine forever on your shelves, making you proud of the great craftsmanship you've brought to it, and the hobby. Wow, wow, wow.
  3. Peter, you've outdone yourself with this vehicle. It's GORGEOUS, and if I can give you my professional opinion on this one, please . . . two requests, really, more than opinions. #1 You NEED to enter this model in the REVELL/GEARZ National Competiton. #2 This baby needs a round of glamor pictures. What an amazing build! You've got EYEGORE running around looking for his fire hydrant. WOW.
  4. Man, that engine and the engine bay are making EYEGORE salivate. I love it. Great restraint on the weathering and it's paying off. This one is going to be a beauty. Keep it going, please.
  5. LOL, I just realized why I had put "Honey" on the tank . . . it's not a gas tank, but a huge keg! Ha!
  6. Doctor Cranky loves where this one is headed. Nice work. Take your CRANKY VITAMINS and keep it going. Excellent.
  7. Absolutely cute and beautiful work on the cutting and shortening. It's going to look perfect painted. Great job, keep it going. Build like this remind me of Roger Yu's work, a great visionary and designer in the hobby.
  8. Thanks, VEGADETH--kind words. LOL, those Ebay puppies aren't going to be around much longer!
  9. Go for it. BUT be FOREWARNED--RAT RODS & RUST are a potent elixir that will intoxicate and haunt you forever! If you don't believe me ask Mr. Chuck Most!
  10. LOL! You know what DOCTOR CRANKY would say, right? LONG LIVE RUST!
  11. Man, all I can tell you is that it is normal to get the slumps, and the best advice I can give you when that happens is NOT to build anything, but FEED YOUR IMAGINATION by watching movies, reading the mags, going out t a car show or two . . . eventually you are going to get ENERGIZED again. Of course, I can also say that if you hang out on this forum for a weekend or two you are going to WANT to build something!
  12. Oh, Man, that's EXACTLY the beauty of this kind of build. You gunk it, junk it, rust it and put it up on the shelves and time and mother nature take care of the rest!
  13. LOL! I almost think that for these kinds of builds that are rusty, gunky and junky, they should not fit "Under Glass," but maybe have a category called under "GUNK, JUNK & RUST."
  14. Here's an older model which is still as rusty and gunky as the day Doctor Cranky put it together . . . and it was a bit of fun to do and detail . . .
  15. I like the way it looks, and it's crying out for some decals though. I just got the Florida Highway Patrol version and I hope to build it as nice as yours . . . I haven't even looked to see if it brings the decal sheet.
  16. This is a wonderful model. I think you nailed the right color, and I like the interior too. Hope you enjoy yourself in this wonderful place. Lots of generous and talented builders here. Stick around and enjoy soaking in the eye candy.
  17. Thanks, Dan, I just noticed that the bucket I had used came from Ozark Miniatures and somehow I must have dunked it in etching solution because that frothy, furry look on it actually looks like a frozen bucket, which luck would have it, fits the build . . . but it's one of those accidents.
  18. Woah, you found three on Ebay, I'll have to go look. Let's see how expensive they are. Again, they are quick, easy kits to put together and paint. I think the most famous of these was painted by the late great Ricky Couch--that build is still emblazoned in my memory.
  19. EYEGORE is getting a little anxious as to when this one will finally hit the stores. We need to bring up our supplies in the Lab-RAT-ory.
  20. Thanks, Tom, and THANK YOU for having contributed a wonderful profile for it too. Your work always shines, buddy. You know Doctor Cranky is a HUGE fan of your work! And to mention your sense of humor too!
  21. Nice collection of RATZ! Doctor Cranky loves them. Nice use of details . . . LONG LIVE RUST! Congrats.
  22. I've been laughing at the size of the gas tank which I made out of a cigar tube and it's so out of scale, it's hilarious, unless you start thinking of living in the middle of Texas in a dry county (is there such a thing in Texas?) and you have to drive 800 miles to quench your thirst! LOL.
  23. Don, you know what Doctor Cranky would say, right? MOVE TO FLORIDA!!! Come on down, we'll get EYEGORE to hunt down the perfect location for ya!
  24. Cleaning a storage closet yesterday, I came across this build from back when the Rat Rod craze started . . . and I recall I went fishing one day and got a hook stuck the meat of my thumb, and then lightning struck . . . a fish hook to double as a bee stinger, and the rest of the build fell into place from there . . .
  25. Thank you. The paint was Duplicolor which still has some nice colors out there . . . You know this kit is one of those that has few parts, but the truck builds into a fairly nice replica with some custom parts too.
