  1. Very clean. Nice color. Good work.
  2. Looking forward to seeing this one go up.
  3. LOL. When are you getting to the body?
  4. Thanks, everyone, for the nice comments, stay tuned in for some more progress and more "True Fire" green flames spoon practice.
  5. I know, Donn. With the years of experience you've already clocked it, I am sure you've built them in every way, which is why I always listen to you. Don't I? Yes, I do, and which is why I think my models have improved in the last couple of years. So, thank you, my friend.
  6. Bring it on, we need out eye candy for the day.
  7. Christian, this is an excellent question but I can tell you that complaints from other students about the paint fumes and all that jazz would really drive this young builder crazy. My recommendation is to find an isolated spot in town where you can do a little painting. I bet if you ask the body shops in town if you can spray a couple of bodies on the premises, they might say yes. Paint the parts and then assemble them back in your room.
  8. Yes, indeed, looking forward to more.
  9. Yes, and stock up on diapers and milk, you'll be running out at all hours to get those. Oh, and Congratulations.
  10. The true fire painting practice has begun. You can watch the video
  11. Paul, do you have any tutorials up we can look at? Thanks. Thanks, Bill. Yes, I am working on this little truck for a change. Thanks, Mike, I like the idea.
  12. Loving every step of this build. I am finding a lot of inspiration in this thread. Thank you.
  13. Donn, you are right about that if I were using the enamel paints, but this one is shot in HOK which means I can get the airbrush close in a shoot the edges without any problems. Well, at least I've had no problems with it. And I am a big fanatic when it comes to making sure the bed is as strong as an ox and can hold up over time. The next one I build I will paint the fenders separate and then glue on.
  14. Boy that chassis and engine shot is beautiful. This one is coming along real fine, Mr. B.
  15. Great gunk and rust on that engine. It's a beauty.
  16. Getting the base coat on . . . and also on a few plastic spoons to practice the real flames technique. Stay tuned in.
  17. Thanks, everyone. Here's a video update on where the chassis is right now: WATCH THE VIDEO HERE:
  18. Jim, I've tried both ways, and I always ended liking this way with the fenders already in place. I'm also using House of Kolor which allows me to get in there close to all the panel lines and crevices, and goes on thin. I would not recommend this way for enamel paint jobs, although I am sure someone like Donn Y. would be able to do it just fine.
  19. Looking real good.
  20. It's PLANET GREEN by House of Kolor. It goes great with Organic Green Kandy. Thanks.
  21. Thanks for the update, Jon.
  22. Working on the dash and steering wheel. I still have to add a radio to the dash.
  23. Making more slow progress . . . Feeling good now about this one:
  24. Testing the bed on the chassis: Mocking the body:
