Absolutely amazing. Great work. Just a thought, did you review a VW Karmann Ghia body as the donor body? -

need help casting a windshield post
davysmodels replied to route66modeler's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Steve, cheap and easy - buy some silly putty - make a small cardboard box (3" x 3" x 1/2"). Place the silly puty in the mold box and level smooth. Gently press the original part into the silly putty. Gently remove. Pour in the resin, epoxy (or whatever you are using for the casting material). Allow to cure. Remove the part. Make a few copies. Trim and replace the damaged part. Post pics of your results. Also - Scale Auto # 89 - Feb - 1994 - page 54 - Promo Rescue - repairs. If you do not have this mag, I can post pics of the pages. -

Beautiful olds wagon. Excellent work. Did you resin cast the body. Sure would like one to sit next to my 64 wagon.

Great idea. Perfect. I like it. All it needs is to scuff-up the tires tread.

davysmodels replied to drodg's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Would you post pics of the 1969 Torino body. Specifically the rear clip view. I have also purchased several resin kits from Jeff (72 Torino HT, Ranchero, and others) - Perfect quality. The 72 Torino is a real beauty (they all are). Just perfect. Thanks Jeff. Thank you, Larry -

davysmodels replied to W-Machine's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Has anyone found the new Revell 442 in the San Diego area yet. I have been to 6 hobby shops and not yet (?? when it will be in per the shop managers). Has it arrived anywhere else in SoCal? Thanks. -
hows about a 63 valiant?
davysmodels replied to jeffb's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
jeffb, that 63 V is great. How about a 1964 Dodge Dart?? -
jayc, Glad to know all worked. The white material on the nozzle threads may be a sealer used to make the thread connection tight. Similar process to the white tape plumbers use on pipes. Perform a spray test with water or lacquer thinner just to be sure there are no leaks.

jayc, I have purchased several tools from Harbor Freight - one had a problem. Returned to the store and one of the associates fixed the problem. Then she decided to just replace the tool with a new tool. Great service. If the needle/nozzle is stuck, take the complete ab into the store and let the repair associate work on it. Let us know the results.

Drodq, I converted the AmtErtl '65 B-2+2 to a Catalina. Actually the cuts were very easy. The wheelbase and all measurements from the front of the rear wheel-well forward were so close (Cat vs Bonne) that I only made the cut adjustments to the rear clip. Also had to shorten the chassis (behind the gas tank) to fit the new rear clip, Here are some pics.

jeffb, do you also have the 1970 Torino 2-door sedan/hardtop as pictured in your posts. thank you. How much $ is this resin kit?
