  19. Bob, Great rebuild project. What mold putty and clear resin did you use for the lenses. Thanks, Larry
  20. The Jeep Cherokee.......Had one for 20 years ('88 Cherokee). Great vehicle. Take this kit and make the 4 door and then a conversion to a pickup. The Jeep is my first choice. Then the Dodge, and Fairmont (if the 1977 to 80 body style)
  21. vonZipper, Thank You. Your advice brought me good luck. At first I was sure the chassis would split or crack into pieces. Lifted the rear of the chassis and moved it from side to side and I heard a crack and the complete chassis/interior popped out of the body. The right side panel by the passenger door above the door line that connects to the interior roof panel split - but a clean split.. The tab connected to the front of the chassis that inserts into the slot under the grill - that's where the glue is. Thank You again for all the help. Now to prepare for the paint stripping. Will keep you posted and post some pics soon. Thanks, larry Looking forward to pictures of your completed Econoline - great work.
  22. VonZipper, I also have the First gear Econoline and want to repaint it. I removed the two screws from the back of the chassis, but the front section will not remove. How did you remove the chassis. THANK YOU. larry
  23. What company (a couple years ago) was to reissue the 73-75 Olds Cutlass (JoHan). Still wishing this will occur.
  24. Blunc, Actually, Gregg was in attendance. The managing editor Darryl did take photos. Along with a MCM staff member also taking photos. So, something unusual this time.
  25. 3-d printing is a great process. Note, 3-d printing is just that - 'printing'. Layers and layers and layers.......................on top of layers to create the object. These layers are visible and noticeable to the touch. This means that before a 3-d part can be used for resin casting or as a finished product (ready for primer and paint) all parts need to be sanded SMOOTH. Imagine sanding all the layers lines on a 1/25 scale bumper/grill for a 1963 Chevy Impala !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That will be a fun process getting inside all the mesh grill patterns to create a smooth finish without any damage.............. A model car body will be a much easier task. These are the negative aspects of 3-D printing. Maybe someday the 3-d creators of the printers will resolve a way to eliminate the layers edges. Until then, prepare to do a lot of sanding and finish work. Any 3-d experts out there? Please respond with your expert experiences and advice to us. Thanks.
