  1. While painting a Bill Elliot Thunderbird kit it fell off the coat hanger paint stand . Hit the carpet while paint was still wet, GGRRRRR After I had the car repainted the second time it fell again ! The worst part was I lost my cool and stepped on it. GGRRRRRR
  2. Very nice. I would say, thinking out side the box, but the car is a box.
  3. I'm dreaming of a White Easter..................
  4. It just needs some pink pin stripes .
  5. Try going to swap meets that sell car parts and such. We have a few around here and I can almost always find kits there. It might just cost you a few bucks to get in the door. My brother like to pin a note on his hat for what he is looking for. His says, Wanted 61 ford Falcon parts. This has worked a few times for parts but will always get the attention of the people around him. .
  6. Apples and oranges to me because of the 30 years of kit quality and mentality improvement in the industry ( these are not toys) .
  7. Nice truck. And the correctly painted grill shell for a truck is bonus points.
  8. If the casters were selling thousands of the parts per year, that might be problem to the manufacturer . Most of us buy new kits to go along with the resin parts that we have purchased . The guys from Revell and AMT know this .
  9. Joe I would think that GM has the most out of the range that you can get . Why would they hold back the one thing that stops sales of these cars? The price is the other killer. The performance end I think you are spot on. Just wondering how long until someone gets one of these wrecked Volts and changes them into a gas car with an LS(whatever they are up to)?
  10. Wow now I need to check a bunch of kits . What about one of the many VW kit bodies you have ?
  11. First let me say great looking product. Some great points have been made . Most I agree with 100% . The only notch in the armor is the fact that these machines have been out to the industry since 1994 or so. Yes, I did work on parts at work back then. The machines might be getting cheaper but at a much slower rate than home electronic market. The one thing that this reminds me of is the home printer. The machines are cheap and do a great job of printing , but how much does a cartridge cost for it. Printer ink is still stupid pricey per ounce. If this stuff still cost $1000.00 for 2 pounds that is to much for us to go in the right direction . 20 years of the machines in the industry still pricey. And yes I do have a few cars in my mind that I would spend the $300.00 on. But they would need to be complete kits for that price. I would come up with the tires.
  12. Get well soon Glue Head . Prayers and thoughts go out to you .
  13. That happened to me in the early 90's Anne. I went to the NNL in Toledo that was going on during the toy show. I was blown away. Just as my wallet was after that show.
  14. Funny Anne . Bob is right do not let them get clogged up they will last a long time if you treat them right. Be careful around glue and filler that has not cured yet. I have messed up a few trying to hurry the process along. That stuff will stick to the file like you never would imagine .
  15. This is just another good day for the hobby. It will be interesting to see what they mold first . My guess 1934 Ford truck with retro box art.
  16. I had to contact someone last week. He said his computer was down for a few days. It showed up a few days after contacting him. I am not perfect so it will cut some slack. It was one seller so not so bad.
  17. Very Cool !
