OK I'll do that right after I buy the last kit I want
-
WOW! That's a nice Buick!! Looks killer and the work you did to the chassis is outstanding!
-
Thanks!! I built it way back when I lived in Pontiac, MI so it's been a long time ago as I moved to the gates of Hell (AZ) back in 81' and if I remember right I repanited & BMF it back in the late 80's to early 90's and then it got moved around a lot, but most of the time it was always in some kind of a case. Thanks for looking and all of the replies.

Yep that would be it!! want to sell me the motor? When I built this one my dad didn't care if it had the motor in it or not.... JK And your going to build it in 09?
-
You after going back and looking at it your right it is a Imperial, don't know why I didn't look at it before posting. Oh wait a min, that's right it was down stairs and I was up stairs and too lazy to go down and look at it. And the more I think about it, it more then likely is an AMT kit.
-
Yeah that thing looks sweet! But I was going to ask about the wheels & motor too. One of these days I'm going to try a build like yours, got a friend who has an old 1950 chevy 1 ton he using for his lawn serive and it would be cool to build it.

I built this model years ago for my dad and I got it out a while back and put a clear coat on it and put all of those dumb horses back on that had fallen off over the years and surprisingly done of them got lost and there are 10 of them on and in the car. I'm pretty sure this kit was from some TV show but I can't for the life of me remember.

Happy New Year!
tuffone20 replied to KanelKustoms's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I'd like to wish you all a Happy New Year and PLEASE be SAFE!! Me I'm staying home for the 2nd time in a row!! I used to work for the Hyatt hotel in down town Phoenix as a security supervisor and for 11 YEARS I had to work and deal all of kinds of people getting drunk and acting like dumb a$$'s Ok well they were just having fun and I was the pissed off security guy who had to work yet another New Year Eve's!!! But boy oh boy did I ever see some stuff!! if you know what I mean Again have fun and be safe!! -
Hey guys for all of the replies. I'm getting back into modeling to build models and not to just collect them. The guy I'm getting these kits from has more then one of these same kits as I'm just buying one of each of them he has and I'm also getting the turbine car kit he has. I don't really care what the cars are worth as they are wroth what I'm willing to pay for them and I think the price I'm paying is pretty fair and I don't have to have a bidding war to get them Anyways now all I need to do is stop posting on this site for awhile and start building some models! Ok I'm back.................. oh wait I never left

Man I didn't think Wally World has been around that long

Here some stuff I picked up today. Has anyone built one of this kit? I haven't looked at it yet. <img src="http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd220/tuffone20/100_9372.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /> <img src="http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd220/tuffone20/100_9373.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /> This one I'll try and build like the one my older brother had, only his had a 66 front end on it! <img src="http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" /> <img src="http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd220/tuffone20/100_9374.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

You know I knew someone would say that, and I'm buying them to build as that is what the kits were ment for. Your so funny I can't get up off the floor from laughing so hard... had one more quote but board said I wasn't allowed to? I'm buying kits to build, well I'll hold them until it's time to build them! Like I said I was just wondering what they are worth, not that it really matters as I'm buying them anyways. Thanks for the input &

I have these kits on hold for me and am wondering what they are worth? I'm going to buy them anyways for what the guy wants just because I want them and he is being kind to hold them for me plus a few other kits I didn't take a photo of. Thanks

What kit is this?
tuffone20 replied to tuffone20's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Man you guys are fast!! I'm thinking I'll just fix the body work and keep it as an old custom as I don't want to spend a lot of time missing with it. Thanks. Here is a photo of the inside. -
I picked this up with some other models I got last week and am thinking about striping it and redoing it. Can anyone tell what kit it was? I know it's a Corvair but that's about all I know. Thanks

Model Master ACYL
tuffone20 replied to tuffone20's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Thanks for all the reply's guys. So far I've used 2 colors. Black it went on just fine, but the chevy eng. red not so good at all, I've put 2 coats on and still have places that need to be touched up. Anyone want to buy about 20 bottels of this stuff!! LOL I'm going back to enamels. -
Ok so I'm just getting back into building models and I picked up some Model Master ACRYL bottle paint to use on small parts and stuff. And I don't like the way it looks when brushed on! It doesn't cover every well at all unless I'm doing something wrong? I'm thinking about going back to their enamel paints. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Thanks, and I know how you feel about having one. Back in the 80's I had a pair of 71's a hard top & a conv. and when I think back now I just can't beleive I sold them!! I even one time passed up a deal to buy a 70 Ralleye 350 for $800! oh and then there was the time I could have picked up a 71 442 for $425 with a 455 in it! Man the price we pay for starting a family!! I wouldn't trade it for anything. Oh well I can have them all now in 1/25th scale!! Just need to find a few JoHan 70' Olds kits! So if anyone has any that you don't want a arm & leg for let me know

I went to a hobby shop in Tempe that I hadn't been to in years. I picked up a few things while I was there.

I just got this one and thought I'd put it here to go with your blonde winter joke A Blonde's Year in Review January Took new scarf back to store because it was too tight. February Fired from pharmacy job for failing to print labels..... Helllloooo!!!.......bottles won't fit in printer !!! March Got really excited....finished jigsaw puzzle in 6 months..... box said '2-4 years!' April Trapped on escalator for hours .... power went out!!! May Tried to make Kool-Aid.....wrong instructions....8 cups of water won't fit into those little packets!!! June Tried to go water skiing.......couldn't find a lake with a slope. July Lost breast stroke swimming competition.....learned later, the other swimmers cheated, they used their arms!!! August Got locked out of my car in rain storm..... car swamped because soft-top was open. September The capital of California is 'C'.....isn't it??? October Hate M & M's.....they are so hard to peel. November Baked turkey for 4 1/2 days .. instructions said 1 hour per pound and I weigh 108!! December Couldn't call 911 ........ 'duh'.....there's no 'eleven' Button on the stupid phone!!! THE BEST BLONDE JOKE OF THE YEAR - SO FAR A man was in his front yard mowing grass when his attractive blond female neighbor came out of the house and went straight to the mailbox. She opened it then slammed it shut & stormed back in the house. A little later she came out of her house again went to the mail box and again, opened it, slammed it shut again. Angrily, back into the house she went. As the man was getting ready to edge the lawn, here she came out again, marched to the mail box, opened it and then slammed it closed harder than ever. Puzzled by her actions the man asked her, 'Is something wrong?' To which she replied, 'There certainly is! My stupid computer keeps saying, 'YOU'VE GOT MAIL!'

WoW! I'm liking what I see so far. Nice job on all of the aluminum pulleys and stuff. I like the hub caps and beauty rings too.
-
Thanks guys and I'm even thinking of doing a Landscaping trailer & truck with all of the goodies some time down the road.

I added some new photos of the trailer.
