  1. Fantastic!!! Great concept, beautifully executed.
  2. Scale is 1.24th.
  3. Very cool model, looks great!
  4. Very nice, love those colours!!! I have one nearly finished.
  5. Excellent!!! Very fine, realistic detailing.
  6. Looks great!!!
  7. Beautiful model!!!
  8. Love your work Terry and this is no exception. Beautiful.
  9. Niko, didn't see this the first time round. That's one beautiful Hudson!
  10. I'm new to photography and have a lot to learn but I like this shot.
  11. Love it!!!!
  12. VERY nice! First one I've seen without the whitewalls - the model looks SO much better without them.
  13. Beautiful!!!!!
  14. You and me both! Amazing to think that this car dates from from 1957 and replaced the Traction Avante, which still had 30s style fenders and grille.
  15. Another couple of cheapies in 1.24th from Mondo in Italy. At $7 the bike is amazing value and it's almost unfair to show it twice it's actual size (second photo). I just wish they wouldn't do the cars with opening doors - they never look quite right.
  16. My favourite TV show as a young teenager so I had to have this. I've added a little foil around the interior and headlight frames (although I know they weren't chrome in 62) and swapped the antenna for something a bit more realistic. My daughter asked if the couple was meant to be gay!
  17. As far as I know never done as a 1.24th kit so this was the next best thing. It's from Mondo in Italy and very nicely done, specially considering the price. Shape and details look spot on to me and the colours are accurate too. I haven't altered anything here, didn't see the need.
  18. I've posted pics in What Did You Get Today.
  19. This arrived today, a 57 year old kit in surprisingly good condition. The box is shown here actual size, much smaller than I remember them being (it's 1.32nd scale). Note the intriguing logo. It has the original price tag from Franz Carl Weber, Zürich's biggest toy shop of SFR6.50, approximately US$1.50 in 1956. I paid SFR28, which works out today at around US$26, a good price if you like this sort of thing. Here are some, but not all of the parts (the kit is complete). And the instructions...
  20. The 56 Chrysler from this series was the first model car I built. It's now available in 1.25th so perhaps there's hope for the Buick.
  21. No offence intended Skip but this reminds me a little of the classically trained guitarist who said Jimi Hendrix couldn't play the guitar.
  22. Thanks for that Casey - I read the thread at the time but had forgotten all about it (I'm 63). So it looks like I've bought the original 1956 issue and the 1960 reissue would have dropped the AMT logo. I'll post a pic or two when the kit arrives.
