check out my short tutorial on making filler from styrene steve......it works great instead of using putty. nothing wrong with putty, but when im doing something larger i try to use my melted sytrene technique... heres a link to it, sorry for the margins, i have to fix it. http://bryansmodelingcorner.synthasite.com/tip-section-1.php cheers bryan

great idea with the wood kasey, very cool. try not to use balsa wood though, it gets too "furry" lookin when you sand it. whenever possible, use basswood, its harder, easier to sand, and stands up well over time...your local hobby shop should have it, right in the same display that they have the balsa wood. keep it goin! cheers bryan

excellent job with the salt technique!! looks very convincing. yes, rob is correct.....DO NOT buy the ultra bright chrome bare metal foil! i have two sheets of it here that are useless, dont get me wrong, i love BMF, and i would be lost without it, but the ultra chrome stuff just doesnt stick well, and it seems a little too thick to me. the regular chrome stuff works perfect though....and if ithas to be more shiney, you can always lightly buff it a bit... keep the rusty stuff coming! i love it. cheers bryan
