at one time, i owned two 68 buick specials/skylarks. one four door and one two door. the four door was beautiful the interior was perfect, as was the paintjob and i actually won trophies with it at car shows! i loved this car, i honestly did. i drove it for four years before buying somthing newer, and leaving it parked by my buddies garage, at the same time i also had a two door skylark, and it was also sitting next to my buddies garage, one day he told me, You have to move those cars", "i cant have them sitting here.........so another friend has a cow farm and said i could put them there for storage..........ok cool. in the meantime, i had sold the four door, so i just had the two door left. it neede alot of work, but it was NOT beyond repair. she needed a driver door skin, and quarter panel. the interior was perfect....so i thought, "ok, ill let it sit there until i can get rolling on it. 11 years have rolled by now.............i had someone interested in buying the car for parts.....so it was pretty much sold! until i went and looked at it! LOL heres what she looks like now after sitting under the powerlines and acting as a scratching post for the cows for over a decade~ I HONESTLY WANTED TO CRY!!! OH MY GOD! MISSING INTERIOR, DRIVERS DOOR AND FENDER, AND THE REAR BUMPER IS DESTROYED.......I WAS WELLING UP WITH TEARS LOL. OI NEVER THOUGHT IT WAS GONNA BE THAT BAD........THE ENGINE AND TRANNY ARE GONE AS WELL............AND IT WAS A POWERGLIDE TRANNY TO BOOT! THERE IS NOTHING LEFT OF HER........TOTALLY BEYOND REPAIR NOW! THE HOOD FENDER, GRILLE AND RED SUPPORT ARE ALSO MISSING........BUMMER! I HONESTLY LOVED THESE CARS, I WASNT GONNA RESTORE IT, BUT THE GUY WHO WANTED WAS PLANNING ON IT......I APOLOGIED TO HIM A BILLION TIMES... CHECK OUT WHAT IS SITTING RIGHT NEXT TO IT!! how cool is that? AND HOW LONG YOU THINK THIS CAR HAS BEEN SITTING TO HAVE THIS TREE GROWING UP THROUGH IT??? LOL ILL BE GOING BACK OVER THERE TO TAKE MORE PICS YOU GUYS WILL LOVE IT! CHEERS BRYAN

thanks you carl! one bad thing about it though...........its 1/24th scale, not 1/25. so finding an appropriate engine to cram in there will be tough.to me when you mix engines from different scales it doesnt look right...........unless youre putting a 1/24th engine into a 1/25th car! then it looks like a monster in there. ive got plenty to choose from though.....hopefully i will be back at it in the morning, but for now...........its sleepy time for me....... thanks again guys cheers bryan -

nice scratchbuilding work on the bed man!! cheers bryan -
OK FELLAS! i finally had a minute to sit down, and actually fool around with an old build. my 55 panel truck. i started this build about 100 years ago.......i was diggin through some old stuff, and ran across it. it caught my eye because i had plans of making the headlights and tail lights work (the headlights are now functional)....... i opened the back doors as well, and it will be SLAMMED on the ground. the wheels and tires came from an old diecast car i had layin around, i painted them "gunmetal" i wanted this truck to have that "blacked out" look.... i apologise for the horrible pics in advance gentlemen, im not workin at my bench, im sitting in my living room watchin tv and doing this..... ok on to the pics. originally it was shot with black primer, but now, im gonna go with red primer, and satin black over it, and of course with a little bit of rust here and there. here you see the white grille, and yes the headlights do work. ive sanded it all with 1000 grit so i can shoot the primer...... again sorry for the bad pics guys! here are the wheels im using, and yes it will sit this low! im going to deepen the door lines with a scribing tool, and make a nice hinge for the hood. i also have to make the jambs and hinges for the rear doors.... more to come, thanks for lookin guys. im going to shoot the primer on it now................after i get the dust off of it! LOL cheers! bryan m
