very cool!! bryan -
this project has been sittin for a while, so i thought i would at least get the frame done..and now i have somewhere to put that ardun flattie i just built that wouldnt fit in "bad banana" heres a couple shots of what i did to lower it.. i cut the center of the crossmember out where the leaf springs mounted, it wont be super low, but its way better than stock height! heres the rear suspension... and my tire choice...rmm firestones w/wide whites.. this one will be ratty! more to come, thanks for lookin! bryan

what?? you gave up on this one??? hey remember this??.......... its still here waiting to be built, i have to grab another willys kit so i can finish it. i still have to color sand and buff it as well... this is another one of crankys masterpieces that he sent me to build.... i think i have another one here that looks like a snake? i cant remember, and alot of my stuff is packed away. how about this van cranky? remember this? i really gotta finish the "suarez carpentry service" van! i hope those inspire you to finish up your van! i probably have 2 months tied up in this van, a week just in the interior..... i think its some of my best work, and its been sittin here unfinished since the end of 2010! ok cranky, get back to work! LOL cheers, bryan
-
thanks everyone! im gonna switch gears for a bit, ive had this 37 ford pickup sittin here forever.....last nite i lower the suspension as low as it would go by cutting the center out of the crossmembers that the springs mount on, so without having to "z" the frame, its as low as it can go.... no progress pics yet, but coming soon! cheers bryan

once again, poor planning on my part, will require me to swap out engines! i am so bad at planning builds! i dont wanna hack up the firewall or floor pan on this thing, so another engine choice will be made.... thats it for me tonite, tune in tomorrow. thanks for the comments guys! cheers bryan

brendan, they are super hard to find. these came from ebay a long time ago but the prices have gone through the roof now. my buddy bought 4 pounds or so, and sent these to me. watchmakers wont even sell them to you `cause they think youre gonna go into the watch repair business or somethin! LOL try ebay, thats about all i can tell ya. bryan

watch parts are a great source of detail items...... i made linkage, spark plugs, and got a return spring......actually the return spring is a lock cylinder part, as are the brass pieces on the right of the container, they make great oil filler caps, fuel caps...ect. more to come, thanks for lookin! bryan
-
swapped the valve covers, added the carb and did some detail painting, now its time to do some wiring, and make some linkage for the carb. more to come cheers bryan
-
i wasnt liking the valve covers, so i swapped them out for different ones. progress comin! bryan

engine meets tranny, and it fits nice in the engine bay...... just a little tweaking and it will fit in there nice, and if it doesnt ill have another complete engine to add to the collection! LOL nah, it will fit in there nice... i found a nice electric waterpump in my stash of engine parts, this engine came with fuel injection (mpi) im not using it tho, gonna go with a good old holly carb and intake, and maybe a caddy air cleaner to top it off.........ill make it removable... more to come thanks for lookin bryan
-
i managed to get the engine and trans painted, found some nice edelbrock valve covers in my stash too...... i shot the tranny with casters gray, so it looks like a rebuilt unit. more to come! stay tuned bryan
-
thanks guys!! im at the bench this morning, feelin good and ready to work! stay tuned cheers bryan

im headed to the bench now..........its a long journey though, to get to my bench, i actually have to get out of bed and walk across the room, i dont know if i have the strength to make it this morning! having the bench in my bedroom kinda sucks, but theres no where else to put it..... cheers! bryan
