  1. Looks good.Great minds must think alike, I finished mine about a month ago. I had the cart and wanted to do somethingwith it. It has an 18 inch kitchen lamp and two 75 cfm pulling fans. I know they're not recomended but most of my painting is with auto air from an air brush. All i need to do is cut my holes in the wall for the vents.
  2. If any one was or is from So Cal, around 1994 or 95 my uncle took my father and I to a "Rod Powll picnic" and introduced me to the "Hell Rod". A 32/33 ford 2door sedan chopped and channeled in primer black ( no flats at that time) , blown big block (hemi i think) taller than the roof line and a lenco trans. Little brass skulls evey where, this thing was the nastyest looking thing I had ever seen in my 15 years of life. Alot like what we see today in the ratrod mags but complete, safe and it really worked, It was just a menace. I never got to talk to the owner but I new I was in the unfinished class and unfortunatly it finaly got painted. Now its gloss black with traditional flames, dont get me wrong it still looks great, but it was so sick in black primer with all the raw brass and aluminum.
  3. Has anyone ever made or purchesd 1/24 fender covers before, I did a search around here and didnt come up with anything. I had some paint bleed under on a fender and I dont want to repaint the whole car. It's been decaled, cleared and BMF'ed already and I decided to pait the engine bay black. Now I have little fingers going down the hood line on the left fender. Any help would be great.
  4. I've been searching and searching for contest in washington state for a wile now. This is great. Are you in or do you now of any clubs in the state? I'm located in central washington but it's not a bad weekend drive.
  5. Looks good, cant wait to finish mine now. Where did you get the radiator support decal?
  6. Thanks guy's, Once its cleared and trimmed I'll try to get some better pics. The paint realy has alot of pearl gold in it....gives it that reptile look I guess.
  7. Thought I wold post some pics of my latest project ( sorry for the poor quality) I wanted to do a higher detailed build than I have on my others, I was thinking about some photo etched parts, but after several failed atempts to piant the molded in exhaust and sub frames ( crapy model parts if you ask me) and almost giving up on the whole project I decided to keep it simple, and clean. Its all box stock but for the wheels ( craiger five star style) and front tires. Piant is Viper " Snake skin Green" from work with the kit decal soon to be cleared. Still needs plug wires and BMF on the trim, and a few bits and pieces but for the most part its almost done. Dont think I'll get to crazy on the seating...I love wal-mart brand flat black rattle can for that fine carinthien vinal look. Thanks for looking and CC is alway welcome.
  8. Thats pretty cool, looks like an old french curv car
  9. color looks alot like the "snake skin green" viper paint im doing my cuda in. Is it a single stage?
  10. ................. Or all the same Grizwalds
  11. New style, As if you were working on the set, and it was your job to come up with the next generaton Batmobile. This may sound a little dum but a little piece of me died when I watched the new movies and there were no cool fins or crazy roof lines. Guns and armor would almost be a must...un less it was in drive-thru mode I guess. Just something for every one to think about, I have had this idea for a few weeks and I've searched and havent seen thats its been coverd before.
  12. Was anyone else besides me disapointed with the "Tumbler" as Batmans new ride in the last 2 new movies. Does anyone else think they could do better at comming up with one? I know theres a " Death race" build off going on ( man I wish I could have got in on that), but would any body be interested in a online "Batmobile" build next? What would it take to orginize one? Does anyone need to be notified?
  13. Thanks for the positive feed back guys. That red 62 is great looking. I almost went red but I had some mopar black to kill. I wish I wouldnt have lost the tail lamps for it ( I left them all off for that stripped down look) Thanks again guys.
  14. Anyone know of a good photo etched set for a 1/24, 1/25 plymouth cuda?
  15. It would be a very cold day in hell before my 64 hard top goes to the crusher. But as someone from the automotive field I can see how this would posibly help some, and work out better for others. Mostly in the lines of trade in vales. If I was given the option of 3,000 crush credits over 1000 cash....well duh. And thats one less junker I need to run through the shop . To be honest most people willing to make payments for 5 to 7 years dont plan on keeping them more than 3 or maintaing them more than 2. As far as the big 3 making entry level vehicles to go along with the credit program, they already have the cars to sell.....and most have huge rebates as it is. All they need is big brother to hold there hands. I work for a Chevrolet/Mopar dealer and I've seen some very goofy ideas about bail out and restructure plans from both sides. ......the funs just starting.
  16. Is it me or does this scream Hollywood Knights , all thats missing is a blower and smoke every time it starts. Very cool, great stance.
  17. Just wanted to post a few pics of the first models I've built since I was in school. There pretty much box stock, ( the bel-air has a 427 and scoop from a vette) due to the fact I dont have much for extra parts yet. This is my first try with chrome foil and plug wires. The wires were made out of seperated CAP 5 wires out of the bundel. They were fun builds, simple and clean. Not sure how much more detailed I want to get with future builds. I'm having fun with the Super and Pro stoker look. My next build is a AMT 39 woody wagon, the kit is too high tech so It's getting the gasser treatment with a flip nose and straight axles. Please help with any and all comments and CC. This has got to be the best model site on the web. Its a real pleasure to be here.
