  1. My fav one also, I have two that I have yet to start but my fav non the less. Awesome dio also. Lamps are killer!!!
  2. Im going real for some reason.
  3. Is that the 2 door post molded in black ? If so then it would be a 210 sedan. Or you could black out all the trim and rock guards and go for a 150 look.
  4. Man, I wish I could find a "cuda" this looks like a fun build. Nice work on the vette....guna have to break out the movie again now..
  5. I always thought that was some kind of "slow moving" vehicle designation...from way back
  6. If it were me I would cut in front of the rear fenders, bring them up next to the cab. and for sure keep the originals on it. Maybe even leave the little seem in the box side where you cut it, give it that "home grown" look.
  7. What little I've driven with them , they are horrible to see out of, raining or not. Maybe that was just the age of the glass.
  8. The real answer.. ( sorry,I could help myself Mark ) The reason if I remember correctly was that it was regulated so the miiror could be seen from the windshield by the cleared area of the wipers, Some kind of safty requirement they had in place.
  9. I thought that was a real answer Working or not, thats what they are. I've seen alot of those with bulbs that have been burnt out for years. I'm sure the newest ones are all LED's now.
  10. Yeah, the high end models add those cool port holes in front of the lamps to help put the fires out
  11. All great ideas guys, I have been thinking of building a display case. I saved the old Chevy bow tie from the side of the building when Chevy pulled our contract in November. Its about 4' long and 2' or so high. its about 12" deep ( to house the lamps and electrical parts of the light) I have been thinking about cutting it back about 6" so its not to thick to stick out from a wall. All aluminum. I think it would be neat with some glass shelves in it. But thats one more thing I would have to start and finish . A friend also recomended I talk to the owner at the hobbie shop here in town, but he is mostly into R/C stuff, and very limited on space.
  12. I wife asked me a question the other night that I really havent thought to much about yet. " what are you going to do with these after you build them?" I've only got about 4 or 5 "finished" models right now, so for the most part they sit on a little shelf above my bench. But I see some guys on here who crank out cars 5 to 10 a year it seens like, and really nice stuff that would be a waste and shame to disasemble for something else or discard all together. So what does everyone do with the models that they finish. I did a search and didnt come up with a topic like this, so I hope its not something thats been done to death on here already.
  13. I have a few of each style. If you plan on switching colors alot on the same job (like tee shirts) then a bottle fed is the way to go. but I prefer the control and compact size of a fixed cup grav fed. just my 2 cents.
  14. Nice canvis work. I also do some painting, though mostly airbrush work. I do like water color and color pencils too. I've been doing a few mail boxes. This was on a piece of card stock, testing out some water borne auto air...
  15. Does anyone know it the tommy ivo rail that round 2 put out was somthing common back then as far as the body. Does any one make a diff decal set for that model?
  16. Then you have movies like the "Butter fly effect" that paint (no pun intended) modlers as crazy phycos who live at home with they're parents and sniff paint and glue all day because they are not fit for anything else... I didnt care for that part of the movie very much.
  17. It brings back good times reading your posts. I was there in 98/99 going to school at UTI, it snowed. the world stopped. My friends and I couldnt figure out why. We were all from Washington. kinda funny watching every car pull off the road..like in a big hurry to.. Man I totaly forgot about that. Thanks for sharing.
  18. My lhs sells these little balls with weights in the bottom, and a hole in the top to put a bottle of glue in. I think they are more geared for plane builders but work slick for that style bottle. I think they are made by Gizmos And Gadgets Enterprises, but I want to say great planes sells them also. could be wrong. just do a search for roc it up glue holder.
  19. Your small scale "Irish" car was killer, I would expect nothing less of this one. Great start.
  20. I second this, looks and works great. And cheap at 3 bucks for 50 feet.
  21. I think the side drafts would take away from the protouring look. I think your turbo setup blowing into a cool looking plenum would be the way to go. But, anything is possible.
  22. Happy new year and the best of luck to you.
  23. Besides watching my 3 babies go nuts under the tree, and being able to give my wife her second set of diamond earings (not bad for 10 years together.. ) My wife and kids got me the "Iron man 2" Blue ray and matching "A/C D/C" sound track...both of which rock pretty good after a long day.
  24. hmm...900+ watt motor running on a 12 volt system.....thats only about 75 amps or so...not bad for some 14 guage wire and zipp ties. Shouldnt take more than 20 hp to make that 15 hp. Sweet deal. I wonder if it would void the parts warrenty if I mounted one in my header collector for all that extra scavenging to go with the boost....Man I cant wait to get mine. I hope they can pull my adress of my creditcrd #, because they never asked for anything else. now thats some hassle free buying !!!
  25. I this one isnt (wasnt) mine, but I did the paint work. Its a quarter scale gas Stock car from up here in Washington state. This was about a $2,500 crash. Not much left to reuse he said....
