What can you get your hands on for power plants in 1/16 scale? 427 cammer with a flip nose would be killer. Was'nt the a "gas rhonda" car ? Either way looks like you've got some body work in your future bud !!!

I feel your pain though, even in washington state, I'm having a hard time finding a Seahawk jerz for my boy for a resonable price. I guess its kinda like waiting till the snow dumps ,then trying to find a deal on a snow blower....which I'm also doing Non the less, I will keep you posted if I hear diff this weekend

Brand new, still in the package . On a side note how do you think the time invested and money invested scale out to the real thing? -
My Inspirational Model Car
moparmagiclives replied to Romell R's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I'm sure I will get blasted for this, but a few years ago I was walking around the local Hastings and came across the "other mags" contest coverage issue. Having not touched a model for about 10 years, I wanted to see what was new (not that I was huge into it before) . I picked up the copy and went on my way. As i thumbed through it I kept comeing back to the featured builders spead, and his "Little red wagon", something about the way John Teresi built and painted that thing opened my eye to what this hobbie was realy about. Its just as much an art form as it is a hobbie or a past time. It's really helped me to better my own building style. After that first eye opener, I found this site. And I have to say that the amount of Inspirational builders is over the top, -
If its just a full cover job, your probly fine just shooting base,candy/pearl, then clear. But a coat of clear or intercoat can be nice in between layers of graffix or even stripes, it can help keep them smooth. It can be really helpfull when taping over colors, for complex jobs. But just my opinion man, paint on !!!

2013 Dodge Dart !
moparmagiclives replied to moparmagiclives's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I agree, But for the part "The "long-line" of heritage that Ford and GM have, has been cut, smashed and forever destroyed at Chrysler" I dont really feel it was ever there to begin with. I mean, its been one merger and buy out/ take over after another from the begining (MOre PARts) That was their heritage. Its kind of silly to compare them to the other "2" of the big "3" I think, And I guess thats why I get frustrated when I here about how they are building something off of "someone elses" platform...or "using" someone elses parts...sorry just me ranting, But that is a great write up Peter. -

Really? Why? Was the Dart that great of a car 30+ years ago? Or do you just not like the body style that much? -
Did anyone ever read, or look at the older "lowrider bike" magizine in the late 90's or so. They had the back half of the magazine strickly models. Anyway, they alway put a few lowrider magazine license plate inserts in the back scaled down to look just like the ones used in the full size magazine...well to make an already long story short, my stash of magazines jumped ship. Does anyone have any left over ??? Or the ability to make some scaled down ? I wish they would have come out with a seperate model magazine back then.

Build count for 2011
moparmagiclives replied to martinfan5's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Just to much going on in the warmer/summer time. Kids like to be outside ALOT, so thats where we are most of the time. -
The one that sticks in my head, is "The Butterfly Effect" Great movie, but the kid building models up stairs was up there because he went nuts and couldnt function at much else....kinda bummed me out , I thought it made the hobbie look a little... umm, phsycotic i guess. Maybe I'm just to sensitive about it.
