  1. Would well placed sanding marks covered in paint give the look of raw fiberglass mat? Its a pretty small weave in 1:1 isnt it? I think matting glued to the body might be a bit large in scale. Just my thoughts.
  2. I'm kinda impressed that a 2011 has that many miles on it already, most of the high end cars around here never get driven.
  3. I'm in the same boat also...never seen one on this side of the pond, And I'm not real big into subscriptions, dont do netflix either...keep it in the community I guess. IDK just me.
  4. Please tell me your going to open one head lamp....lifes a garden, dig it?
  5. If you can find a 51 post style body, I would just use that body and build the oval back window, instead of swapping roofs. I like that silver scallops on black....looks killer on that body
  6. I feel really special that you are paying so much attention to me, I really do, but I dont remember saying anything about the Bears vs the Steelers. And, duh...the results would have been different had any one team done better. That was'nt the point either. I'm pretty sure I clearly said that " I didnt think the Hawks should have beaten the defending champ Saints in the playoffs" of all games, and had they not, the Bears should have had a little tuffer game then what Seattle gave them, and they probly would not of made it to the division champ game..once again just my opinon. But I guess I'll just keep those to myself.
  7. What I was getting at, is that I dont think the Hawks should have taken the Saints out of the playoffs, and had they not, the Bears probly would have not made it to this last weekend...Just my opinion. Seven points might not seem like much, but its a hundred yards to get there. Plenty can "not" happen in those hundred yards..point spreads are for bookies, and I dont gamble, so again, just my opinion.
  8. I say the same thing everytime I open the hood of something imported...."Why 9mm and 11mm...just use a 10mm like everyone else"....sorry had to vent a little..
  9. Being from Washington, its hurts me to say, the Bears never should'nt have made it that far, because the Seahawks DEFENETLY should not have made it that far. I think they got the Bears hopes up for the last game. But all in all it should be a good game. I'm sure the Pacs will walk away with it, but a good game non the less.
  10. I always liked the mid 50's chev pick up (amt i think) inline 6. It looks pretty detailed I think. When will this start?
  11. Oh, and I like the body stand, you need to break out the air brush and wood grain the sucker...
  12. I like that one better than the light blue, the lettering never really stood out to me on it. Great start. I've still never had the nerve to start one of the 4 willys I've gotten so far
  13. I was going to put under the drag racing tab, but I thought I would share this with everyone. A wile back I was talking with one of the mechanics in the shop, just normal bench racing type of banter. And something came up about old front engine cars and rails. I told him that I wish I could have grown up in that generation around that kind of stuff as he did down in souther California, so instead I make up for it with my endless collection of dicast, posters, and other such decor for my hobbie room and shop. A few days go by and he comes up to me and says " hey, I brought you a few things I found in my shed this weekend. I thought you could make something out of them". Going through a pile of old magazine adds, a small poster or 2, I found this in the middle. Now please excuse the poor photo and glare. But I think you can still make it out ok. It looks killer up on the wall in my little man cave. For as old as it is, the signiture is still in good shape. It has just enough wear to make it even cooler I think.
  14. Will do, and as a perent of little ones my self, will do twice.
  15. I got the idea for the scoop cover from some images I found, but with most of them being old and black and white pit photos, I couldnt make out any logos or text. Not alot of need for them when they are lined up at the track and ready for action
  16. If you want to pm me you email I will get you some pics, If you are looking for a stock look, I have some stock steel wheels as well I can photo and send, if your interested.
  17. 60 pounds of fire ball right here, meet Maggie, Our 7 year old English Bull pure bread. Best dog I have ever had. Shes like one of the kids, my wife and I find our selves spelling stuff in front of her and other such habbits.
  18. I like the seat, great job. How did you get the fiol to stick to the flat paint? Ive had lots of problems with that. Maybe its just me.
  19. I think I might have some small "crane" or "comp" cam decals but I didnt want something totaly out of place. I know I'm not building it 100% as it should be as it is, but some things just stand out.
  20. Does anyone know what logo or name would have been found on a 70's style scoop cover? I would like to dress this one up but dont want something not even related.
  21. Ahh..perfict, thanks for the help guys.
  22. Way to go man!!! I think that would be the crowning jewl for any hobbie room, your stuff in or on the mag that reprisents your intrests.
  23. So I'm guessing the line I have in the pan is the drain back? its not the feed for the block is it?
  24. Maybe someone can help me, Ive gotten way in over my head on this mongoose duster, Up to this point Ive got most of the oil and fuel line figured out. But I'm not sure what to do witht the rest of the oil lines. I have one coming from the pump to the pan, and two coming out of the front of the pump going forward. the dual filters mount to the frame, but I cant run both lines to that. Is there no tank on this style car. should I have one of the pump lines going to the filter housing and the housing going to the block. what about the other one from the pump. Is it a bypass? I've been gifter the snake pit site already (way awesome) but I dont think its quite the same. Anyone? Thanks guys Also..does anyone know what name or logo one would find on a scoop cover back then? I made my own and would like to put some kind of decal on it top dress it up.
