				Another one bites the dust
moparmagiclives replied to sjordan2's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
At least GM was honest...sort of. "If I cant have it, no one can" Didnt stop them from trying to sell "Hummer" to the Chineese...hmmm...flip flopping..almost sounds political. -

I would check with Eastwood, they have pretty good combos. $200 to $300. -

				MPC "Street Charger" Any good?
moparmagiclives replied to Mr. Moparman's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Everything I hear, its based off the Dukes of Hazard one, Its ok for what it is. I wish I would have waited to get the street version. I would like to build a blown hemi over the nascar style intake version. Its my first non 1/24 scale so I'm not sure how it measures up to on a building stand point. -

				What magazines do you get?
moparmagiclives replied to bbowser's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Hotrod (starting to dislike the megabuck power machines the feature in every issue), Airbrush Action on and off as well as Scale Auto on and off. I just recently got an issue of Model Cars, so hopefully soon I can get that more offten. -
I was roaming around the other day and seen a posting of a 59 Impala built up into a bubble top flying type car. It looks really cool, and I got to thinking why I havent thought about something like that. Then I got to thinking a little deeper and realized that all I think about when I see an impala is a dripping wet candy job setting on chrome spokes. I see a 40s willys and I start thinking about solid axles and gmc blowers. I'm thinking its really starting to hinder my creativity. Coupes should be fenderless and flatheaded, vetts need bigger tubs and scoops..etc,etc... Anyone else have this problem ?

If thats not enough you can always make your exhaust smell like rootbeer...I wonder if they can add that to the colored rubber too....I smell a new trend coming -

How far are you venting this thing to the outside? maybe the smaller one pulling from the rear at all times to keep air moving, and the heavy one pulling from top or bottom just then your spraying? -

I was able to get my grubby hands on some "lowrider magazine" plate inserts ( Thanks again Hector ) And I decided to try something new to me and maybe some others out there. I loaded the file Hector emailed me to a memory stick and headed out to the local instant photo shop (The great Wal of Mart) 28 cents latter I had a nice glossy finished plate incert, about 8 actualy. I'm going to have to try to scan some model magz now and see if I can scale them down as well. Like I said, new to me. Maybe someone else can get some ideas going off it as well.
