  1. Call me Kreskin, but I don't think this'll be box stock! Everything looks pretty amazing so far! A wild project for sure, and it certainly caught my attention!!
  2. That is downright pretty! Last for 2K6, or first for 2K7? That Orange Mist is a beautiful accent color!! I assume we'll see it Saturday?
  3. That's a looker! I have a Firebird snap kit I wanted to do as a quick build...but my quick buids ain't.
  4. Wow! Very nicely done! I like the color and those wheels look great on this car!
  5. Whacky thought...pirate the wheels from the Magnum. Not "accurate", but they might add a nice slightly custom touch without going to far afield. Not having a Magnum yet, I can't say I've mocked them up to see how well they'd work.
  6. Very classy hot rod!
  7. I'm reeeeeeeeeeeally likin' that!
  8. That is kinda the plan, mister smarty-pants. Somebody has gotten to me off-line and extorted me in a way, forcing me to bump the 'Bolt to the forefront.
  9. I think that qualifies as an offer I can't/shouldn't refuse, your vice-eminence.
  10. Those half shafts have maybe one good, hard launch in 'em! I really like it. Keep those photos coming!!
  11. Will do...dunno what stage of completion it'll be , but it'll be there.
  12. I finally got to polishing the paint and hitting it with wax. I dread this phase of the finishing process, but every time I do it I get more betterer at it. Somebody needs to tend to their nails... And the mock up...
  13. Even good photos like these don't do the model justice. Randy and his son churn some kickin' projects off their bench. As for his concerns about a bird potentially ruining his photo sessions...think about it. Some guys agonize for hours about how to get that kind of realisim. Roll with it!
  14. Apparently "the farce" is strong with this one... Take a couple days away, and hit it fresh again. Don't let it beat you!!
  15. Slow and steady wins the race....right? I finally started getting the interior together. The dash needs some more work done to it, and the steering wheel is off getting some detail elsewhere on the bench. The shifter is a shirt pin and the boot is some scrap styrene stacked together. Not pretty enough for the Louvre, but fine for a 10-footer. And the engine finally got some progress. I know, a pre-wired distributor is a little lame, but I like the look, and like I said, this isn't intended to win any awards.
  16. I'll try to snug it up a little in the spelling department. I know how that irritates some folks... Happy Holidays to everyone here!!
  17. That's from the tired old clunky AMT kit?! Outstanding job!!
  18. Yup...one piece chassis. I drilled out the ends of the molded-in exhaust, inserted small tubing, and slipped slightly larger tubing over that for better looking exhaust, at least untl you turn the model over. I'll show pics later.
  19. Huh? Wha?... So my reputation preceeds me...I am planning to make some progress over Christmas week...so keep your eyes peeled.
  20. Well, howdy! 'Bout time you got active here! Folks, Randy builds outstanding, squeaky clean stuff! These are only the tip of the iceberg!!
  21. Nicely done. Simple and navigable with a professional look. I likes it!
  22. Okay, it's just tooooo early in the morning for something like that!! Seems like "creative" or "imaginative" doesn't quite cut it. "Amazing" gets a little closer...
  23. Yup, I think the wheels work! I'm looking forward to the closing phases of this build-up. Looks really sweet!
  24. That's funny you mention a darker finish on the wheels...I was looking at the photo and thinking a dark magnesium for the wheels would make it look a little more "muscular". They would also work nicely with the black you mentioned you might put on the hood. I like the look of this model so far.
