  1. Sweet! I agree with the rest of the crowd on the color choice. The engine compartment detailing is nicely done, too! Take a bow!
  2. I like it Steve! Nice build-up!
  3. Very well done. The closer you look, the more you see how clean your work is. If that's your version of a shelf model, I'm almost afraid to see one you'd take to a show!
  4. That's not fair, making it look that easy. Really nice work on the chop!!
  5. And I'd like to cross paths with you some day...what with you actually knowing what it's like to build a T-Bolt and all.
  6. Billy, I oughta smack ya! What's this "nobody" ######?! One of the biggest reasons you and I (and a lot of others) really dig this hobby is the people, and it's those same people who don't think of others in terms of "somebody" and "nobody". Go to your room! You can come back out after you've built something.
  7. Wait a minute...do you mean "id" as in the psychoanalytical sense, or the "id" I generally show the police? It's early and I'm not "to spec" on the caffeine yet.
  8. Well, since they were mentioned, I've met George several times, and he's as nice a guy as you'd ever hope to meet. I've also met Jungle Pam who, for a woman of maturity well beyond the 70's magazine photos you've all got engrained in your minds, still has something about her, and is a very energetic and positive personality. Both of them are the kinds of folks you wouldn't mind hanging out with socially. I've also met Bill Geary, Lyle Willits, Larry Booth and a ton of other great personalities in the hobby, just by joining a model club or two. Good guys all, and many of them have tried my (in)famous chili and lived to regret it... I see hardly anybody (your check is in the mail, John) mentioned me, and I guess I can come to terms with my feelings of rejection, even if just by weeping uncontrollably, curled up in a corner in a fetal position. Maybe if I'd finish a T-Bolt, things would be different.
  9. What a delight! I love the lines of Panteras. You did a darn nice job on this one! Yikes!!
  10. Well as luck would have it, I will be uploading the newsletters to a website I'm playing with...keep your eyes peeled.
  11. I guess the fish ain't bitin' today. Anywho, I wanted to thank you for the manner in which you responded to the heat you took on the political stuff. You could have gone all postal or worse, just stormed off in a huff. I've seen too much of that elsewhere, and appreciate the "duck's back" approach. Now, let's get to some model talk!
  12. Very nice build, up! I am not a motorcylce fan as such, but I already have one of these new kits, and I hope to pick up a few more. I'll likely build the first one to get a feel for the kit, then get a little more detailed with the execution and maybe do some mild customizing on subsequent kits. ######, these look like fun builds!
  13. Just moving this to the top to refresh it. All you guys in the eastern PA, NJ, MD, DE, NY or anywhere else you are willing to drive from, the Showdown features 3 new classes (large scale, motorcycle, and modified die-cast) for this year, and the show theme is long roof (wagons, sedan deliveries, hearses, ambulances, etc) cars! Hope to see ya there!
  14. Glad to have ya here. Good place, good people...well, there is Gregg, but he's kinda of essential to the mix.
  15. Nice tutorial, Irv. Would ya mind it being published in a future Classic Plastic? You already know the payscale.
  16. I'd say that pretty much sums up lots of our profiles. Looking forward to seeing photos when you're ready. Welcome!
  17. Is it all that darn much it's cracked up to be? I heard it socks to be an argyle descendant. But hose to say?!
  18. Well, yes indeedy. I've been taking a real ribbin' over my stalled T-Bolt project...all my own (un)doing and fully deserved. I am looking forward to restarting the Wimbledon White car. I won't even consider starting the Vintage Burgundy car or transporter until I get past the first one. Similar to yours, it'll be an "as delivered" version. I have everything to get it done except the time, which I hate to use as an excuse. You've done an outstanding job on this kit!! Take a bow!
  19. Fine print?! There was fine print?! DOH!
  20. I was talking about the 2007, also per the chevy site. Sorry, my bad.
  21. Here ya go... Velocity Yellow, Atomic Orange, Victory Red, Monterey Red Metallic, Le Mans Blue, Arctic White, Machine Silver Metallic and Black. Go to Chevrolet.com and see what they look like on the car. http://www.chevrolet.com/corvette/colors/
  22. Wait a minute...I though it was Gregg who was taking medication. :?
  23. Good stuff! I'd drive the bejeesus out of the AMX, uh, as if anybody would be silly enough to hand me the keys... The photos are darned nice, by the way.
