  1. The color is great and the engine detail is fantastic! Can't wait to see how the rest comes along.
  2. That's interesting, I like the idea. I may try this sometime. Keep experimenting and sharing your experience with this technique.
  3. I just saw this thing today in the hobby shop. I wasn't sure about it but it sure looks cool seeing one built. Nice job, BTW!
  4. Yeah, that thing is cool! Love the color. Nice! Was this a kit?
  5. Wow, this is a great thread. I'll have to take pics of some of mine and share with you guys. Keep those pics coming! It's kinda cool to watch the progression of work quality in some people's builds over the years. I know mine have certainly improved, then again, I don't know if that's saying much. Keep up the good work everyone.
  6. Definitely love the build! The stance looks good and the surfboard will look good on there too.
  7. I'm new to the game but I say model.
  8. I used to work for Freightliner and to see your interior is quite impressive. I especially like the detail of the PTO controls and the range controls on the shifter. We had a "Toughbook" lap top computer like that as well, only our was black. Outstanding detail and I'm liking the color choice for the body. Can't wait to see how this one turns out.
  9. That's pretty cool! I like seeing all the things you would be familiar with seeing in an actual service truck like the welder and all the tools. Looks good! How much, if any, of that did you have to scratch build?
  10. I like builds like this because there is no "wrong way" of doing things. I think it turned out great! Kinda 'Mad Max' like.
  11. Thanks for the comment, Bernie! HAHA, yeah, turning radius. Good thing the wheels stay straight ahead on this build. I dunno what happened to my pics earlier ....There were gone and I don't know why ......but I got it fixed.
  12. You're right, it's not my flavor of build but I can certainly relate and appreciate the kind of work it takes to accomplish such a project. That is simply amazing. I would have never known it wasn't a kit. Very nice! I haven't the nerve to scratch build something of this level.....yet. I do a lot of metal fab these days on my 1:1 stuff I just haven't made the transition to styrene yet.
  13. WOW! I mean, WOW! Nice! Very clean, love it.
  14. I love wreckers. Those things are so cool to watch in action. Nice build, got another to build yet?
  15. Very nice! Love the color and the red stripe tires, awesome. Maybe you should put snowboards in the bed since there is snow in the background of the photos. Nah J/K it looks great!
  16. kind words well deserved. I've looked into the info regarding the NNL in S.C. previously, nonetheless, thanks for posting the link. I will be there!
  17. Thanks for the comments guys! I'll look into the phototbucket thing. I've never used photobucket on other forums (non-model related) I frequent since those sites will host photos without issue. EDIT: I got the photobucket to work (thanks Clay ) I just figured out how to remove the thumbnails.
  18. My name is Tommy and I'm new here on the forum. Here is some pics of my custom duallie that I built about 10 years ago before I stopped building. I used two kits to make all the stretched body parts including the tonneau cover and I added some stuff from a couple of other kits here and there. I'm now trying to get back into building again and hopefully I'll have some new stuff to post. But for now here's one of my past projects and I'll post more of my others as I gain my comfort here. Thanks. 1) The truck 2) The phantom grille 3) The stereo system 4) The rear seats are folded forward for easy viewing of the stereo system and there's also a drink in the cup holder. 5) The exhuast tips which are actually the taillights 6) Inside the bed and the tonneau cover
  19. I do, thanks for asking. I don't know if I have any "in progress" pics but I will look. Mostly because I built this about 10 years ago (my how time flys) and that was my pre digital camera days. I have taken some recently that I can post and I would be glad to answer any questions about it. I think I will start a new thread about that truck so I won't cloud up Raul's thread. I'll have to figure how to post pics as well. (Link below) http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=16935 Thanks again for asking, Tommy.
  20. I'm new to the forum here and just was poking around and stumbled on this thread. I must say you do exceptional work! Very nice! BTW, I noticed mention of the NNL's coming up soon. I'm just now returning to the hobby after about a decade and I haven't been to the NNL's in nearly 12 years. I'm really looking forward to going and spending time on the forum. Keep up the good work, it is very inspiring.
