  1. Came out beautiful, Ira!
  2. I rarely get anything here by FedEx, but the other two, more often than not, get here a day early!
  3. unbelievable! well, not really, we saw it being done!
  4. Harry gave a recommendation a year or so ago and I was in the need and got one. I've been very satisfied with it. I've gone through a few lamps and it's always the cheap arms that give way. This on is leagues above others I've had. Here's the link to it.
  5. Nice to see a Porsche getting built here. I'd love to see the fender flares appear, but I do realize what work it might entail.
  6. BBT! .. Beautiful battery Terminal .. You're doing a heck of a job for a first build. As you think about that dirt tracker, remember the guy next store most likely build it from whatever he could scrounge up as needed. You have the same license!
  7. Could be the grill was slanted when installed in production. Fixing it should be no problem. Thanks for the reference photos. and WoW! .. bright red reliant!
  8. I think you're out of control, Darren! Amazingly creative mind going on here!
  9. Very nice, Chris. I came back 5 years after a 30 odd year hiatus also. I like the color mix on the steering wheel .. looks just right. I always have problens finding all the cream colors on cars. The roof rack looks exactly like the one on the '69 I had .. nice work!
  10. I've been looking for photos and will have to keep an eye out for that. This is the only side shot showing the front I have and it does show a slight angle. That is from an '83 reliant brochure. Thanks for the comment, Al.
  11. I'm sure you're right. Tom. I didn't notice that error ... but no way I'm going to try to fix it in metal!
  12. I cut pieces of sprue off with a hook at one end and put an alligator clip on the other. To hang those other pieces of painted plastic.
  13. Looks great ... grill, 6 banger and those long headlights!
  14. Thank's much, George. .. and glad I could jog that old memory!
  15. Such an amazing collection of creative and well built models! Viewing was a pleasure!
  16. I love that year Mercury. Very nice build of that!
  17. Welcome and some gorgeous builds there!
  18. Thanks, Chuck. I've had to go rescue the van up roads like the starting one in that video, only in denser woods. One time a flat tire up a deep woods dirt road with no spare, rain had just started and after having reminded her to block the wheels when on a jack the van toppled off the jack ... cause I didn't chalk the wheels!
  19. I just found the 1/24 Motormax diecast of the Plymouth reliant so I can now start the build of my daughter's car in a man's size! You may have seen the 1/67 scale build I recently posted. At the time I thought this was an '83 and had trouble finding the correct paint. I used a Testor's Light Green whick looked pretty close. I've sine learned it was an '81 and the only green reliant there was. PaintScratch.com had the paint and it's on the way ... Light Seaspray Green Metallic. So now it's ready to go . all disassembled. I need some photos of the 1:1 from my daughter so will post when she gets them. Here's the Motormax I'm starting with:
  20. I just painted on a light wood color first and dry brushed a dark brown over it.
  21. I meant the green "metal" trim on the interior sides. It seemed weird with the blue interior when sitting alone.
  22. The green on the interior now looks good ... with the interior mounter in the car.
  23. No question about it .. BMF is the only way .. and it's not even obsessive!
  24. Now you're like us all ... piles of kits waiting for attention.
  25. But, was it smooth with straight edges?
