Time to go digital, Charlie! I waited a lobg time before replacing my film 35mm .. but SO glad I did now. I love natural light photos but there's NO film that can do it like digital can.

Welcome, Ben. Love your weathering! -
Good to see the car got out! Now the accidents start .. with the snow banks blocking all as you try to pull out into a street.

Just been working on the base for my daughter's '85 GMC van as I wait for some PE windshield wipers to finish the build. I figured one lane of a road on the way to a Gratefull Dead consert would be right. Camera was being stubborn today and couldn't get windows to recoginize it to get the better photos off it. This was just taken at my desk off my newer cam.

Good luck to all in the New England area...

Yeah, the Infiniti is gone. After getting stuck last storm at bottom of driveway, I went and got a 4wd the next day. The Mini Countryman is a bit more SUV looking than I'd like but it's still drives like a Mini so it's fun. 30"! way too much for me! -

It's 6am and still dark, but doesn't look too bad here in the mountains .. the boys near the coast are getting it all this time. Was a lot of drifting so hard to tell how much .. think we're lucky to have over a foot. My steep driveway faces the east and looks like the snowplow hit it once already, but I know he hasn't. The wind has been keeping the snow off it I think. But I'm happy .. I get to try my new Mini 4wd!!!! I called my wife when the Governor put a ban out on all roads but her boss wouldn't let anyone leave early! a pretty cheap place ... She made it fine with her Audi Q5. -

The governor of the State of Massachusetts has issued a road ban .. NO cars on the road ... starting just now .. 4pm. Up to a one year prison sentence! ... and my wife is still at work. I'll bring her roses when I visit. -

Maybe the nozzle is clogged. Try soaking it in thinner.

7am and not a flake here in the Berkshires .. but the big not to arrive until tonight. Boston will get both storms coming together and th ebig one's coming up the coast. They have worst predictions than here in the mountains.. -
I'm liking this one a lot!

How many miles do you get out of a clutch?
Foxer replied to Modlbldr's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I have only owned 2 cars without automatic transmissions since I got my license in 1965. That includes a '51 Plymouth and five Porsches with sports cars in between. I have never needed a clutch in any car .. most being driven to around 80,000 miles. -
I just got this PC game and am really enjoying it. It is very well done and many might like it. The site to buy and look it over is at Euro Truck Simulator 2. You start hiring your self out as a driver and can eventually buy your own truck. The map is Europe, of course, and all the trucks are European models ... no Macks I'm afraid. The scenery is nicely done. You drive from the spot you pick up your load and through the city and over the highways. When you arrive at the destination you back up (!) into the loading dock ... optional if you want the extra points. There are many camera views that work well for maneuvering the rig. Control is by keyboard, keyboard and mouse (to steer) and even a steering wheel and petals if you have one. I just used the keyboard and mouse and it went well. Gonna have to try my steering wheel, but it doesn't seem necessary as the keyboard control works very good. The driving time and map is compressed and a 4 hour trip takes maybe 10 minutes. No falling asleep like in real time! It all moves along pretty well. There's no manual but after the short tutorial I see it isn't needed. I've never even sat in an 18 wheeler in real life and successfully backed my trailer to the dock first time .. well, a few scrapes I admit! I think many of you will get a kick out of this one. The game is very well done and easy to use. And a cross Europe trip does NOT take 4 days!
