2013 Dodge Dart !
Chuck Most replied to moparmagiclives's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I seem to remember reading about those- some were even available with diesels. Wonder if the Fiat will sell better, being Fiat's reptuation for, ah, quality, is more fresh in the minds of Europeans than Americans. -

And the Dodge Journey is being sold in Europe. Sort of... -

They could have still called it a Charger, but used the Magnum's front end on it. Another thought- All this name-shuffling has me wondering if the Charger's replacement will be called Charger. -

Haven't tried it out yet, but the cap DOES glow in the dark, that much I do know. -

Best as far as styling or quality? Either way, sound like a very iffy business plan to me. But then again- it used to be that truck styling followed car styling, now it appears to be flip-flopped. All Chevy cars have the big chrome horizontal bar and gigantic gold bowtie, which was first used on the trucks. Ford trucks have the giant chrome 'goal post' grilles, and while most of the Ford cars don't have that exact same design, you can see quite a bit of F-Series in the faces of most current Ford cars. So far Toyota and Nissan don't seem to have jumped on the bandwagon, though. -
INSPIRED THINKING- Cheap Tips for Frugal Modelers

Another source for smaller tubes- many brands of cotton swabs have a handle that is a hollow, thin-wall styrene tube. I use them for exhaust tips all the time. -
Model Weight....

That there is. Even the kit manufacturers list it as a fraction on their boxes for the most part. -

A few examples for ya, then. -
Very cool- I think this is the first time I've seen one built as a wagon with all of the custom parts from the kit (and then some!) used.

Agreed. Even if the Charger had simply been a Magnum with a shorter roof, that would have been just fine. -
Well, my '10 GT is started. It won't be a GT, however, I'm planning a phantom 2010 Bullitt edition. So with that in mind, the first order of business was cutting out the stock grille (with its driving lamp openings and pony emblem insert) and filling in the spoiler holes on the decklid. Since there was no 1:1 2010 Bullitt, I'm going to take a few liberties here and there, but there is one thing you can count on... it will be Dark Highland Green, no exceptions!

That I understand, but did they have to style it after a Ram pickup? And if it had to be a four-door, why not just keep the Intrepid name? That would have appeased the guys who hate it just because of the name, at least. I will say I don't care how many doors a Charger has, I just didn't like it because of its looks. The 2011s are starting to grow on me, but I'd still love to smack whoever approved the '06 design. -

The Charger never should have happened period. I still wonder what their target market for that car is supposed to be... people not blessed with the gift of sight? -
Thank you! Thought I remembered seeing them somewhere. Seems like when Revell tools a new kit and several sprues are on the smallish side (as seen in the 300), it's a pretty good indicator they're considering other versions. I won't lie and claim to be an expert on laying out tooling, but from where I sit a Ranchero would be very feasible working from the 300 tooling. Now all they need is for the 300 to sell well and know there's demand for a Ranchero kit.

A bit unrelated, but a guy I used to work with had a '79 Regal with the aftermarket 6x9s just sitting on top of the rear window shelf (wired, but not actually mounted within the panel) and a hardware store slide latch to keep the driver's side door closed. Anybody want a free pair of Memphis 6x9 speakers?

Right you are, but it might not fit as well now- the Dodge logo is no longer a Ram. Ram trucks still have the Ram logo (obviously), but they're not technically Dodge products anymore. -

Small car, small engine- that part make sense to me. I do agree with you on the looks though. I'd rather they just import the Alfa. The Alfa's styling doesn't make me taste puke in the back of my mouth like the Dart. Anybody else long for the days when Chrysler's kids could actually make a decent looking car?
