  1. Got just a few things from Pat Redmond. the bag contains a Revell '32 Ford Roadster with McDonalds Dio. The GTX is actually a unbuilt AMT '68 RR. Nick
  2. Love the look of this one, the Rally's without trim rings do it for me the most! Nick
  3. "Post your finished (pau) model cars here in all their glory–your online display case!" Nick Perhaps either a Truck only Underglass or Let all Finished MODELS into Underglass. Nick
  4. Jim I may have to do another for this build, was working on my '32 Ford 5 Window and had the radio on, noticed the lyrics in Bruce Springsteen's Ram Rod: Hey, little dolly with the blue jeans on I wanna ramrod with you honey, till half-past dawn Let your hair down sugar and pick up this beat Come on and meet me tonight down on Bluebird Street I've been working all week, I'm up to my neck in hock Come Saturday night I let my ramrod rock She's a hot stepping Hemi with a four on the floor She's a roadrunner engine in a '32 Ford Late at night when I'm dead on the line I swear I think of your pretty face when I let her unwind Well look over yonder see them city lights Come on little dolly 'n' go ramroddin' tonight Come on, come on, come on little baby Come on, come on let's shake it tonight Come on, come, come on little sugar Dance with your daddy and we'll go ramroddin' tonight Hey, little dolly won't you say you will Meet me tonight up on top of the hill Well just a few miles cross the county line There's a cute little chapel nestled down in the pines Say you'll be mine little girl I'll put my foot to the floor Give me the word now sugar, we'll go ramroddin' forever more This is where my '32 is at: Funniest part is that the motor is from the AMT '68 RoadRunner kit. Nick
  5. Update on my FIREBird:Nearly Done Part 1 of this particular project. As it sits awaiting me to finish her up, well part one anyway interior Sunshade, Real Llumar Tint. Grille & Headlights Nick
  6. So January was the last time I updated this build, hmmmmm been a while Eh? Since day one it's been a back-burner project, just something to work on while I wait for things. So here's the progress since the last time I updated this topic (took about 20 minutes to find it). Added some bumper guards to the only bumper. Did some more frame work and relocated the gas tank. Backyard door panels The dash, have a gauge panel for it that will be installed later Nick
  7. Thanks Mike, yes it's Fun, building what I drive everyday, but it has it's down sides, because I drive it everyday and have done almost everything It has needed myself, it leaves me knowing to much about the truck and wanting to add EVERY detail. anyway. Made the Tonneau (thanks W/T for your help) Also Tinted the glass to match my rig, added the sun shade on the front and did the rear window, that is real LLumar Window tint that I got from the guys next door to my work FX Tint. Nick
  8. Might have to get around to doing SOMETHING on my Merc, ahhh I'll get around to it. LOL Nick
  9. Loving the 90's 1/2 ton Chevy Pickup Steelies on it, never would have thought they'd compliment that Elky the way they do. Nick
  10. No, The only things that affect my buying of a 1:1 are Condition, Ease of Maintenance, Cost to own, Fuel Mileage, and Insurance cost, I just got lucky and bought something I can model fairly easy. Nick
  11. Thanks Everyone. Nick
  12. Finished it up this evening. Straight from the box, only a bit of BMF was used on the marker lights, the rest is what the kit contained (other than paint). It's not perfect, but I'm happy with the result. Nick
  13. Thanks Brizio, okay last photo's before it is done. Nick
  14. Thanks everyone, between all the nice comments here and all the comments I get about the 1:1 I don't know how to respond sometimes, anyway, got the color GM Brite/Bright Teal (#38), and got the body panels ready for color. Nick Still need to finish roughing out the Tonneau.
  15. Thanks Guys, Yes it's a bit Cliche to build a Red Corvette, but I knew that it will be my only red Corvette and probably one of very few OOB builds. Anyway, here I am. I'm going away for the weekend and will be taking this one and my '78 Firebird Trans Am with me to work on. the Chassis plate isn't correct but I did my best with what I had for reference. Nick Edit: I left those sink marks on purpose on the interior, the seats cover the rear two and the dash covers the front two.
  16. If I want it at the time I see it I buy it, in the past it has bit me in the arse, but it has also worked out in my favor as well. Nick
  17. These, too bad their not 1:25, I'm still after a few sets in that scale. Not perfect but I paid next to nothing for them. Nick
  18. Looking good, I'm hopeing to get some more done on the trans am Nick
  19. I have the MPC '78 Promo kit unassebled but open. Also have the '78 Annual, both will end up on the bench eventually.
  20. Thanks Guys, Bill I had a look at few online and was lucky enough to have one pull into the gas station I was at when I was filling up my truck. More progress. Darkened the panel lines, finished the black and emblems and finished the up top.
  21. Bit more progress, still need to touch up a bit of red & Black. Nick
  22. Thanks Guys, Actually Tony, I usually do use them, just so happened that I used my last one the day before, have to pick up another box. Nick
  23. Decided it was time for me to try this again after a few years. So I chose a kit that I had Zero interest in building any other way. So I grabbed the flyer for the Group 25 show to see if anything popped in my head, that's when I spotted the Out of Box Class, so that's the plan, Going to do it close to factory stock, Bright Red on Saddle. My Progress so far, started last night, Painted the motor with a bit of left over Duplicolor engine enamel from when I repainted my valve covers and intake on my truck. Painted the transmission and started getting the body ready for paint. Nick
