  2. Lools great! One question;why did you paint the front a arms and diff red?
  3. Looks great!I like the paint job! Here is mine
  4. Well all I can say is it may be necessay to upgrade your modeling skills. The body appears to be brush-painted and the chrome trim defintely is!First you should practice with rattle-cans(Spray paint) or better yet get an airbrush. You should also look to buy some Bare-metal foil for the chrome.Easy to use and does a great job!You do have some interesting ideas, you just need to learn to execute them better!
  5. Very Cool!Kind of remibnds me of something
  6. What's up with the deep indentations where the chrome should be?Is that a custom touch of your own design?Do you plan on adding the chrome spears or just leave the indentations as they are?
  7. Well I started with Tamiya Deep Green(XF-26) and added Tamiya Flat White(XF-2) until it mached the color of the Engine of the '48 Lincoln that I found on the internet.
  8. Here is the completed crossover pipe installed.Next I have to use the Testor's Burnt metal to match the exhaust manifolds.
  9. Thanks! Now I have to make another one!
  10. Here is one of the completed exhaust manifolds.I made it out of an old sprue and used sheet plastic to enlarge the exhaust flanges.(They may have to be enlarged).I painted then rust colored which is realistic for an un-restored example .I may paint them steel to represent a restored, hot tanked exhaust manifold.
  11. Just a minor update(Haven't worked on it much due to other priorities).Installed the engine, front and rear suspension components.Next up;I have to fabricate exhaust manifolds and cross-over pipes to tie in with the exhaust system.
  12. I love that Chevelle!Reminds me of mine
  13. Very reaslistic weathering!I prefer mine factory fresh
  14. Yes the metal axles are a drag and the detail is basic, but you have to remember the tooling dates from the early sixties.I think a new fully detailed kit is in order but with today's economic realities it may never happen!
  15. Here is an older build from '92-3.
  16. Here are a few pics of the body parts after painting,(The color is a custom=mixed blend of Tamiya Red ,White and Black I call Monson Maroon)
  17. Like It!My neighbor had a white'61 Plymouth wagon and I thought it was the funkiest car I had ever seen!I like the coral paint too!
  18. Yes I really liked the Preston Tucker movie!Jeff Bridges did a great job and it seems that every remaiing Tucker in the country was in the film!
