Harry, I totally understand & you are 100% correct. Lets forget everything that was written above & staret over. I recieved my issue & it was in great condition, no problems with anything. I totally enjoy every issue I have & will get. I do read everything & try to put that into what I build, as you know somethings work & some don't, I can't wait till the next issue. -
The build looks great, really like it, the paint looks awesome!

Most drag racing kits will have decals, but if you need to check out Slixx decals,in the Goodies section, they should have something you can use.

Harry, meant no disrepect to you, Gregg or MCM. I've recieved a frw issues of both SA & MCM that had articles I didn't much care for, I've also recieved issues of both mags that did have articles I've liked (more that I liked then ones I didn't), I'm into drag racing as you can tell be my login name, F/C's & Pro-Mods are my overall favorites, not into Nascar, Indy or any of the 'turn left/right' type of racing, but I also must say I don't see much in either magazine on building/detailing Pro-Mods, F/C's yes, both mags have had how-to's on building/detailing F/C's, but I've seen more how-to's on Nascar & Ferrari's then Pro-Mod. Just take a look at how many issues (either mag)have some type of how-to (building, painting, decaling)on a Ferrari, now look & see how many issues (either mag) have something on Pro-Mods....NONE. I've looked at some of my back issues of SA with the Pit Pass photos, I can name 2 drag cars : Tony Schumachers Exide Edge T/F & Chuck Etchells owned/Whit Bazemore driven Kenall Camaro F/C, everthing else was a Nascar car or truck, sure all T/F & F/C's are basically the same with just different bodies & paint, but so are Nascars. Now don't take all this the wrong way, I love MCM & SA, I will continue to subscribe to both mags, but your remarks seemed a bit like a smart to me, so I am responding in kind, as I said to start this no disrespect meant. -
Sorry, it's Danny, my mistake, sorry dude.(firebird still looks good!)

Firebird looks good Randy, Butch Leal was one of my favorite P/S drivers.

Recived my copy on Thursday(the27th), no problem with the condition of the mag.Sent a e-mail to Gregg asking about, it being as Jan. was almost over & hadn't recieved it, & of course wouldn't you know, got it in the mail the same day. Don't really like the fact that it comes late but I'll put up with it, as long as I do get it.I know it can't be that easy putting something out on time, all the time, I've even recieved my some issues of SA late & some of those issues are sometimes damaged, but I also will say that I've never had to ask for a new issue from either MC or SA, I also say that I didn't think this issue was really all that good, nothing that I was really into in this issue, but I'll continue to subscribe to both. -
Beautiful car Tyrone , like the new pictures even better then the first ones

Great car John, My overall favorite Chevy F/C (followed by Bruce Larson's USA-1 & Kelly "The Professor" Chadwicks cars), had the MPC model myself years ago, rebuilt it a few years ago, using a Competition Resin body with the Polar Lights chassis & a set of Decals by Gooch, Gooch's decals matched the ones from MPC (they were a little short overall for the resin body but I wanted to build it pretty much the same as my 1st one). Love the build man!

1969 Camaro Pro Mod w.i.p updates 03/06/2011
Dragracer replied to tyrone's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Both Camaros look great Tyrone, can't wait to see how this '69 comes along, I'm sure it'll be just as great as everything else I see of yours. Between you,Wayne,Clay,Mike & so many others, I have a lot of inspiration. -
DoubleD, I wasn't meaning to disrespect Tyrones build,as I said the car looks great & I really like it. As for talking about my old Nova, I was just stating how I know about the sidemarkers and all, then just went on to describe the ol car. I know you can fit a BB in the Nova, my older brother had a '69 Nova SS with a 375 HP 396 in it, tight fit & really nice car, it also had M&H Racemaster L-60-15's mounted on Crager SS mags, & yes the M&H were STREET tires, the tread wasn't very deep, hard to be careful driving it in the Fl. rain. Once again no disrespect meant to anyone.
-
Just looked at the car again, the listing of it being a '71 is wrong. More like a '69. The sidelights are wrong for a '71,the front should not have a space for engine size & the rear is too short, should be longer. I use to own a '71 Nova, medium blue metallic,350 under the hood,Pro-Trac L-60/15's in the rear(shackles & air shocks to help clear the tires/ VERY stiff ride!)with Cragar GT Superlites. Still, Love your build!

Heard about your Yenko Nova, & was hoping to see it, was gonna ask you to post some pics of it now I don't have to ,I'm a person who has a hard time keeping to 1 idea(must of had about 4/5 differant paint jobs in mind for my Nova),now I'm thinking of going back to my 1st idea on the Nova since yours is blue (just wanna be differant!) . The Nova looks gooood.

The Camaro looks great Tyrone!, like the flame job against the orange, are you gonna add any more flames to it or is it done?. Started the Nova this weekend, primered the body yesterday to see where I need to do some more work, hopefully I'll try to post some pics of it this week. -
You build some great looking models Tyrone, like both the Camaro & the Duster.
-
The reason Revell put door markings on the F/C's is because the NHRA at one time (for a while anyway)had it in the rules that the bodies had to have them. I guess it was to make the cars look more like the street version as far as they could. The car looks great to me. Also had the John Force & the Miller Olds, Miller Lite Warrior of Dale Pulde & still have (in storage) The Bud King Tempo.

Great looking slicks, I wrote to Chris a few minutes ago on facebook, saying the same, can't wait to see the wheels he has planned.Chris makes some great resin parts, highly detailed, I have a few of his clutch cans, transmissions & superchargers. I now have all the parts I need to start my '69-'70 Yenko Nova Pro-Mod. Also saw all the retooling car bodies you guys are working on, any idea when that firebird body will be done?, have a great idea for it: updated Brutus version (always liked the Brutus Firebird FunnyCar of Lew Arrington better then the Mustangs) Happy New Year All!
