  1. Try some clear from Duplicolor. Spray 2 light coats first, and after it has completly dried sand with some 1500 or 2000 and finish it with another 2 more coats and its's done. If You really want it shinny polish it with some rubbing compound and wax.
  2. Well folks, thanks for your prayers. Irene passed right thru the center of the island as a tropical storm and left being a hurracaine. Lot of water everywhere, floods rivers gone crazy. Power is out, still places without water service but we will get thru all this, Thanks all!!
  3. Man, all I can say is WOW!! and WOW!!! again.
  4. Same here, great stuff and excelent quality!!
  5. Those head castings look awesome. Let us know when they will be available.
  6. We still have to give some credit to Revell & Stacy, I mean they put model cars on TV again. Last time I saw model cars on TV was on ESPN's NHRA Today. (at least 15 years ago) Steve Evans, (RIP) went to the monogram plant and gave us a tour. Baby steps, but at least it's something.
  7. Great work and use of Alclad!!! John, What do You use as a filler? Is that regular bondo?
  8. Getting ready for Sunday??
  9. I like where this is going. Great close-up pics, it sure helps a lot to get a clear view of the detail envolved. Keep posting more pics, .......how about some today.
  10. Dude, that is some great masking You did there!!!
  11. OK guys, Who's the first one to tear it down and start making resin copies??
  12. Check this guy out. Maybe if You use 2 sets of his small Goodrich TA's You'll be good to go. You can find him here in the Forum. These are great quality, You will only have to deal with the sidewall letters. Here is his link: BF Goodrich TA's Good Luck.
  13. Totally agree!! Just remember, "It's a Plastic Model!!" Build it Your way.
  14. Just like tabsscale1 mentions, it is the humidity. It can be fixed easily, just use a bit of wax on the clear and it will disappear. Better yet, get some 1500 - 2000 grit sandpaper, wet sand the model being very careful not to sand away on the details, corners or emblems. Rub it with some rubbing compund and then wax it. You will be amazed at the shine.
  15. Duplicolor's primer sealer, paint and clear works great. Been doing this for years and it's a winner. Duplicolor's Chrome paint can be seen here -> Corvette in progress After the chrome, body was covered with nail and 2 part clear --> Vette Done.
  16. John, really coming out nice. Like the way the wheel flares came out. What size (thickness) is the plastic used on the flares? And by the way I agree, sometimes You have to build for Yourself.
  17. Wow, really kool!!
  18. Angels never rest, they are on the clock 24/7. Glad to hear everything is moving in the right direction. This modeling family is really BIG, we just need the rest of the world to be like us.

  20. Next time You are at Sam's or Costco get some of their degreaser they sell in a black plastic gallon. Cost like $3.00 and this stuff is really strong, I mean You need gloves to handle it or else it will peel ths skin off your hands. It's good for de-chroming also.
  21. Great build and that last photo is KILLER!!!!!
  22. If You need a paint that is more "whiter" than wimbeldon white, try "super white" from duplicolor. This thing is really WHITE!
  23. WOW!!!! Love that blue. Did You shoot any clear on it already?
