  1. Naw man Its just a "fun and games" thread. Its fun to think, "What if there was a prize for getting a certain amount of views or comments?". Would you get a big prize or a pat on the back and an atta boy !!! It doesn't matter how many times he looked at his thread or the times he posted something. The forum doesn't count it that way, it counts everything that happens and totals it. 25,800 is ALOT !!! It is certainly more than any other thread currently going on the workbench. Like I said its just a "fun and games" thread meant to create a quick laugh . What do you think he could be eligible to get ? ( If there was a prize for such a thing )
  2. Well I got her painted, flat black with silver frame. I should have pics sometime tomorrow, as always stay tuned !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Nice job on both of those Lambo's man !!! I like that green color too ;)
  4. Thanks man for all the compliments, I really like this kit and will probably buy another one ( or three ). The colors I was thinking about using are either flat black with a silver frame or metallic silver with a black frame. I will most likely do the flat black though. More to come later
  5. Wow that is some nice scratch building you do sir !!! This is going to be yet another build that will be bookmarked
  6. Wait, whats that smell ? It smells like this thang is getting ready to go Under Glass, ( BTW it smells, I mean looks, really good ) !!!
  7. Sweet I might have to pick this one up. I have a 300e (1:1) w124 chassis. I love it !!! I think I could easily convert this one to a 300e right ?
  8. I never though of that, I really go through some ice cream (Especially in all this heat we have been having ). I might just have to save 'em now, thanks
  9. You can always prostock it . Or really rust it up
  10. Yeah those containers Mark uses are great for holding paints and tools in. I use a coffee cup to hold my tools that are the size of pens and pencils, like paint pens, Xacto knifes, drill bits, paint brushes .... ect. Good luck !!!
  11. I have been looking at the Scale Dreams website and they look like they have a lot of products that I could use, you might want to check them out. Tower hobbies is good too. One of my first "modified" builds was a 32 ford sedan. It was a really nice kit and it taught me a lot about detailing and customizing a model. I would suggest getting a 32 or 34 ford and building a "Rat" to start off with because you have alot to work with ( options such as lowering and getting stances right). You also have alot of "room" as in on the engine and on the frame. Heres my sedan : Its not my best but I really had a lot of fun building it, and I learned alot It was my first one that I wired, the first I lowered, and the first I used parts from other kits to build. You may or may not like rat rods or hot rods, but they sure do have a lot of room to work with. Good luck !!!
  12. Mercedes maybe ?? Looks like an AMG wheel, but I dunno
  13. Pikes peak sound fun !!!
  14. Thanks man, I new that tunnel ram would look really good poking out of this rat, and then the velocity stacks just fell into place. I'm pretty sure I got the tunnel ram from the revell 70 mustang kit. I think the carbs and stacks also were in that kit too. I got the engine out of the GT500KR kit. Took that supercharger out and mixed every up in a bowl and Vwala !!! A Tunnel ram Ford DOHC !! I still have to wire it and plumb though. Stay tuned !!! :D
  15. Sorry guys heres the pics : Now you see what I mean ??? I want it to match the rest of the body. The first thing I did with this car was paint it flat black, all of it. Yesterday I shot the front and rear clip gloss black and the hood. The hood was the worst, the two clips were fine. Maybe it was the paint ? Should I sand it down and re shoot it flat black and then paint it gloss black again, or just sand it down and shoot it gloss black ? Either way, what sand paper should I buy ? I have some 800 grit paper, would that be best or ??? In other words what would you guys do ?
  16. Here are some pics for ya : Frame rails Engine Thanks for looking !!!
  17. Nice !!! I like polished aluminum. Sorry for all the questions, I think I'm addicted to your builds
  18. How much was that stand, I like it !???
  19. I have been working on my 2009 Challenger for a little while now, and I went to paint it gloss black yesterday and it "orange peeled" on the hood. I painted Lowe's flat black first (couple weeks ago) on it just fine, but when I went to paint it gloss black it "orange peeled". I also painted the front and rear clips , but they came out good, the hood was the only piece that did that. I didn't paint the body in fear that it would do that too. I still want to paint it all gloss black , but do I need to sand the hood or the front and rear clips too ??? Any help will be greatly appreciated !!! Thanks
