  5. ya i think that is really cool, i can see it all painted up,maybe 5 or 6 colors of candys with some fades here and there, i love the old vans of the 70's, thats how i learned to paint, when i was 15 i worked in a custom paint shop after school and this was in 1975 so you know we did a lot of vans, i just sold my real '68 Ford Econoline van 2 years ago, fat tires, black with flames bumper to bumper !man i dig those vans!! ill have to dig out a picture of it and post it, your rite tim i wouldnt do anything with that van, its cool just the way it is,now maybe start on a new one, that would be cool.!!!

  23. ok i got a little time today to do the flames for a buddy of mine on his 63 nova wagon, the flames are not exact, the real car had too many smaller licks ,and it was a little hard to cut them all, after 3 trys of cutting the foil, this is what i came up with, buddy say's close enough, and digs em, so that s good enough for me,and the spraying began, heres a simple step by step, hope this helps anyone that my like to try this. ;D cover area to be flamed with BMF and draw flame out line. next i cut the flame out useing a swivel blade,be careful not to cut too deep !! then mask off area not to be painted. spray colors. unmask and clear. still going to sand and BMF door handels, window moldings, etc . and reclear.
