  1.
  2. Thank you all! Yep, air cooled Rules!!! :)
  3. Thank you all guys!!! Those pics are from the interior... For who want here the link to the WIP. WIP Thank you again for looking!
  4. Very nice!!!! I always liked those Volvos!
  5. I'm planning to go a the concours.
  6. What I think, is mostly an "artistic" way. Or like George 53 wrote about the one in TX, that made it to advertise his wrought iron fence business. I though it could be a nice model to try to 'replicate' it in a small scale. I was planning to be done with it in only a week, but it toke me almost two weeks... But It was fun the same...
  7. Thanks guy! Yes I know, actually there are more than one of those wrought iron VW... Before start this model I found some pics of wrought VWs, mostly are white, but there are some yellow and they told me also in green. I think in a white yellowish color looks better.
  8. Also this fun project is done... From the Revell kit I used chassis, wheels and tires, engine and other minor stuff. The steering wheels is from a 1/32 Impala (IIRC). The front hood is not attached to the body, so it can stay open or stay closed, the stick that keep it open it is attached to the body. The rear hood has some micro hinge, that I tested on the Screamliner 359, but the stick that keep it open its a piece a part. Some pics... Thank you for looking!
  9. I'm pretty close to finish this one! Today I finish the new "seats"... I made them like the outdoor furniture, I think those looks better on a wrought iron VW... Painted in the same color of the body... And finally glued on the interior... I modified a little bit the rear bench. Here I add a kind of pillow... It will add more comfort...
  10. I know, I put the heater ducts, for fill up the engine compartment... I can always remove them. Or leave, who knows, maybe with all those drafts of cold air, some warm air will help!!! About the chassis the IMC would be great, but I'm almost done with this, and I had this kit... But good to know, who knows in the future, maybe made another one... Thank you Tony! I like it too!
  11. Forgot, that also the engine is almost done... It need only pipes...
  12. I had some fun this morning scratch building some stuff... The first was a gas tank, on the kit is not included. And a battery... Here the gas tank in place, with a brake fluid tank. Also add the front light (without lens) and wire them. This is the battery in place... The steering wheels is not very good, you can see it require a lot of cleaning from the mold... So I look on my spare parts, and found this one. IIRC it is from a 1/32 Impala... The diameter is the same, and looks more better. So I will use it. 13. You're Welcome, and Thank you for looking!
  14. Here one of the last progress... Now it need some detail works to be finish. The pedals and stick gear... Brake line done, this is on the rear, also you can see the trans lever. Here another fitting test... I painted it in white, but adding a little bit of yellow... I think looks better than pure white... And here what I'm working on... Finally the engine... Need some to be completed, but it is almost done...
  15. Thank you! Now I'm resizing some pics, so in a few minutes I can post them.
  16. Ok thank you! I think to put the front windshield on the model, and make it street legal, but I don't like the parking light on the fenders, and I'm not sure on the tail light, I will put them, but probably a different tail light, the one on the kit are big... Today I got the chance to primer it and paint it, in white. Tomorrow I will spray some clear gloss and start to work on the engine.
  17. Forgot the pics. Here ready for the primer...
  18. :D Thank you! I just finish to sand it. So now it is ready for some primer...
  19. Thank you! If you want the convertible body and the close/open roof, let me know.
  20. I'm gluing it... I know that would better soldering it, but the Super Glue is working great, and I don't want go in garage (toooooo warm)... Jim, the VW you saw, had a front windshield? Thank you! Basically I finished the body, I need to find out how I can keep the rear hood open, and it be ready for paint. Thank you for looking!
  21. Thank you! I just used some metal wire.
  22. Another progress, the front and rear hood...
  23. Thank you Jon! I will use those pics, and I'll make some sample for see the one that fit better. Thatnk you again about that, I didn't though a the speedometer. The speedometer will be seen, because the dash is "wrought iron"...
