  1. Like i said before..the front clip was designed by Arcadipane which was an aftermarket part for Ford Falcons...back then you could order this part from their catalouge and slap it on a Ford Falcon....Aoshima could sell this as a generic upgrade along with the missing stock Ford Falcon parts.....and sell it separately. ...that should allow ALL OF US to convert the re-released Super Detailed Interceptor back to MM1....
  2. $20!!!!. For Less than half a car!.....Thats not even a full conversion like..... Where's rear glass and...fog lights? ...How do YOU feel that its up for $8.99?. Hopefully Aoshima will find that LOOPHOLE and sell an upgrade set for "FORD FALCONS"...and allow us ALL to make the MM1 conversion...(as upgrade set..separate from the car kit).....And shut this guy down........FOREVER
  3. Thanks for telling the whole world...I was going to bid on that..BUT!!!..The caster is selling this one at time...He won't allow you to "BUY NOW" ......to milk it. And He won't put more than one up at a time. He hopes to drive the bidding high every time he brings these out. You think its a Rare item but its not...by the end of auction you will realize that you paid way too much....you guys can fight for it...Im out
  4. Aoshima is re-releasing this interceptor kit with photo-etch...It's selling on Hobby Link Japan for regular price...don't pay the ridiculous prices on e-bay....It's not a rare kit anymore.
  5. There were two cars...the original was used as the "Hero" car for close ups and interior shots...the second was for all the the stunt driving shots which was wrecked at the end of MMRW. From what I read they were both sent to scrap...but the guys at the scrap yard couldn't bare to destroy the Hero car...it sat .....then one them decided to take home.....and then..... it got passed to a different guy who rebulit it....etc ..etc On a separate note....for those who are building the MM2 car with detailed engine....are you guys putting in the cleveland and mount the blower above it like the real movie car....or are you going to make a "working blower" set up?
  6. Ok...so the front clip was designed by Peter Arcadipane which made front clips for the Falcon..its was listed as Falcon Nosecone $212.75.. .It was offered as aftermarket that you could order from a catalogue. Peter also designed the trunk spoiler.... Can Aoshima get permission from Peter to produce the front clip?...and sell it as aftermarket part....separate from the Interceptor kit ....the rest of the car (bonnet, rear glass, trunk lid and comparment is from Ford. problem solved?
  7. Can you 3D print me Daniel Simon's "Dentonator" bike in 1/12 scale??? http://www.designisthis.com/en/blog/post/cosmic-motors-illustrated-art-by-daniel-simon
  8. At very least I really would like just the lower front clip....I think the Interceptor would look cool with the front intact...I know its not accurate to the movie...but i think it would look Bad A$$
  9. Can you make YOUR own masters using the A/fx as a guide for accuracy and cast those....and make millions of dollars and satisfy millions of model car fans?
  10. If I owned the MM1...I would sooooo let Aoshima do it.....Its not everyday that a car you own becomes ...immortalized!..I would have them come over and allow them to 3d scan every nut and bolt, every ding and dent! I would want MY car to be modelled as accurately as possible.
  11. Im not sure I understand.....the Aoshima kit is labelled as the Interceptor, Mad Max2, the MPF logos(decals) and on their website has the trademark disclosure.
  12. I e-mailed the ebay seller...he says that he gets them on consignment...???..only puts them up when the producer makes them..This is frustrating...I wish Aoshima just gave the option to build either MM1 or MM2 versions...I would gladly pay more...and even buy 3 kits so i can have all versions of the Interceptor...and not have to wait for some guy to get off his ass and make them..."Hey SUPPLIER.....this is DEMAND calling"
  13. Have you ever used Krylon or Valspar Suede? (spray can) for textured areas like interior carpet?
  14. You can e-mail Aoshima see if they'll send a replacement for the gas cap cover. Or trace the shape by putting a small peice of paper underneath the opening and then transfer to sheet plastic or tin from a pop can. Or cover it up and smooth it out.
  15. www.bigbluetree.com Simon Lee is truly an Artist. Please check out his website.
  16. there are professional sculptors that do achieve lifelike portraits. My POINT is that they cater to 1/35, 1/32, 1/16,1/4 and 1/8 scales. They cover a lot of military or historical specific subjects. These genres are flooded. There is no shortage of sculptors in these fields. What I can't understand is why don't they cross into the 1/24 scale. The talent is there.. We just need someone to commission them to do 1/24 scale subjects.
  17. Creating a figure is a bit involved but like any hobby it can be learned You would need a sculpting medium like Supersculpy or Milliput soft wire to create an armature, sculpting tools, lighter fluid An understanding of the Human Anatomy, composition, scale and proportion. Starting with "roughing in"the head arms body and legs. Then "fleshing out the details" Once that is all done a Master is created...then casting in resin Masters are usually too soft or delicate... so resin casts are done to make the piece more durable and workable. The hardest is the face or "Portrait".....I've tried its not easy
  18. My point is that no one is making highly detailed realistic figures for 1/24. Were making do with whatever ... But we shouldn't , this market is huge! Trains, Planes, Boats all have aftermarket figures which look realistic and compliment them. Thanks for some of the suggestions but honestly there still not quite up to par. We need new comteporary figures to fill this void!
  19. Theres alot of SteamPunk stuff which is cool...but....And the Sasha and Bario are a bit "cartoonish"...I have the Sasha..in 1/32 scale. I like the Zombie and the Suvivors ones...I might pick those up
