I got the '90 mustang cop car model. I've been out of the game a LOOOOONG time and needed one that would be sentimental to me. My father in law was a sheriff deputy and I thought I'd build it for him. My only question would be where would I get decals made because he didn't work for the chp as the decals in the box say.

I know there are several big rigs and open car transporters out there, but are there any closed transporters like featherlite out there?

Every once in a while when I look at a thread, sometimes the thread will be in the right sequence (initial thread first followed by responses) and sometimes it will be reversed (all responses first followed by the initial thread). Is there any way I can fix this permanently?

I think the darkening of the photo that you mentioned actually made it look really cool. GORGEOUS car. Great job!

"new" car designs
hellonwheelz3 replied to hellonwheelz3's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
cadillac pat and junkman. very well put, both of you. I completely agree. Everything looks the same now days no matter who makes it. Fords look like chevys, and chevy's look like Dodges. -
"new" car designs

I forgot to mention the Camaro, and I do like it. Havent heard the part about the alfa platform -
I hope this post is allowed, if it isn't just delete it. I have to say that I have seen a lot of classic car names coming back with new designs. For example the dart, charger, challenger, and others. I had a buddy that used to have a 1967 Dodge dart. That thing was sweet! It sounded great, it looked great, and was such a powerful car. The new Dart is UGLY. I like the new charger, but it isn't nearly as cool as the classic version. How does everyone else feel about the new designs of classic cars?

So sad to hear about grumpy. Condolences to his family. Does anyone have info on Carroll Shelby?

What do you use as primer?
hellonwheelz3 replied to groo12's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I just picked up some valspar and the first time I sprayed it, it layed down smooth as a baby's...never mind. I will never buy another brand of primer again. I believe it is the new name for plastikote. Anyone that can correct me please do. -
Does anyone make a kit of a '53 ford Victoria? I'm looking to build that model into a police car as a tribute to my grandpa who passed away.

I have been in somewhat of a model building...funk...over the last several months because the last several models i've tried to put together did not go well, either because of something I had done or just an ill fitting kit. What would you guys recommend as a kit that would get the fire going again? I'm not looking for anything real spectacular, just something that is maybe an easy kit to do without having to stress about it too much. Thanks everyone.

Very well built mustang, like everyone else said. Why they changed makes from the original show to the remake is beyond me.

I actually don't have a radio in my hobby room, but I still have my ways. I have a police scanner lol. I know I'm a geek -
On my Desk, I've got the new corvette with the C6 engine it. My father in law has a vette with a C5 as his daily driver. What would I need to convert in the model to make it a correct C5?

My girlfriend was the one who asked this, is that an OPI color? It's beautiful

What is a good substitution for cleaning acrylic paint off of my brushes? I forgot to get thinner/cleaner at my LHS. I know this may sound stupid but I'm just not sure. This is my first time using acrylic paint

Do All Models...

Snap tight is a good one to look at if you don't want to glue or paint -
From those pics, it looks really good. Nice build

That's a beautiful poster. Your niece did a great job.

I had a question about primer, but didn't want to hijack the other two threads, so I started my own. I have only primered with white and light to medium gray, but have heard that if you use silver or gold, it makes the paint "pop" more. Is this true? Also, I have only used hobby grade primer but have heard that Plastikote (now called valspar) is great primer. True or not? Any pics would be MUCH APPRECIATED.

I love the color and the stance is MEAN looking! Great job.
