  1. Very cool. That's the way it should have been. Too bad bad for Chrysler Corp. & consumers.
  2. Both are beautifully done. The black-and-gray color scheme on the stock version reflects what I've been considering for my 1/16 Mercedes SS, based on a surviving car, and confirms to me that's the way to go. What gray paint did you use? It's just what I need. And NATO black for the convertible top is a real discovery for me, since it looks like a more realistic, less intense black than typical model paints. Could be a good choice for vinyl tops, too. My Mercedes top might require a slight mist with dullcote, though. And I love the attention to detail with your use of the wood on the convertible frame. As for attention to detail, the period license plate shows how much care you put into this very sophisticated build. Do you have other pictures of this car? Nice work. EDITED ADDITION: Okay, so I went to your website. I am officially blown away. You should have more detailed photos for each build. Unbelievable. http://www.bikelab.net/models/home.html
  3. Superb. And that red trim line/pinstripe on the side of the body is incredibly precise. Is that molded into the kit or did you use something like Evergreen styrene rod? If so, what type and size?

    '59 Caddy!!!!

    Pure plastic porn. Great job.
  5. Let me just boil down all of the above to a simple statement: Can't we just write our posts in clear, simple language that everyone can quickly and easily understand?
  6. You seem to have been given the wrong directions. Perhaps this is what you're looking for: http://cs.scaleautomag.com/scacs/forums/
  7. Why don't you just print it out at the proper PERCENT of the original? When you select PRINT, check your print window. It should give you the option of what percent you want to print. May take some experimenting, but that's the way to do it.
  8. What happened to breakfast? This is more about what can eat your lunch.
  9. Harrumphf. It's not about Grammar 101, it's about posting a reasonably understandable message. If you don't know what I'm talking about, check out other posts on this site or (especially) the "other" site.
  10. By the way, if you're just starting out with page 2, go back to page 1.
  11. Who'da thunk that a post on grammar and punctuation would go 2 pages?
  12. There's a Russian babe who lives upstairs from me. And one from St. Petersburg who works at the liquor store. I could stand the pain.
  13. I like to think I'm like Indiana Jones. Because I HATE snakes.
  14. That's an excellent point, and I think many of us understand it. And I must say, if you use an online translator, there's no telling what gibberish you'll end up with. There is, however, no online translator for speaking in tongues.
  15. I understand that a large amount of posting replies here are run-and-gun, knee-jerk responses. That's part of the fun of it all. However, there are just a ton of impossible-to-decipher posts that totally ignore grammar, spelling, capitalization, punctuation and the basics of communication. Here, we're not limited by the demands of texting or Twitter with their shortcuts, and those posts are extremely hard to read. May I make a suggestion? Almost all of us have Microsoft Word. Why not compose your post in Word, then run their grammar and spellcheck to correct hasty typos? All you have to do then is copy and paste your message into your post on this site. We Boomers would appreciate it.
  16. I checked out your website and you some other terrific builds. I particularly like the '59 Eldorado (good thing you painted the battery caps).
  17. So, has your cholesterol level gone down with your weight change? (I love a place where you can talk about model cars, breakfast, beer and cholesterol in the same thread.)

    '59 Caddy!!!!

You've set an incredibly high standard here.
  19. That's the first time I've seen a 1:1 engine with a 1:8 body.
  20. Well, Nigel, it's a good thing you have National Health in your country.
  21. Also, it's not necessary to demonstrate scratchbuilding of a complete vehicle from the ground up. Let's see what kind of ingenuity is used for various individual parts.
  22. How about merging these divergent themes: Build the Cheerios #33 NASCAR Chevy.
  23. OK, it's weird and cool at the same time, but it would be more impressive if you could shoot some pictures that weren't on such a huge, pebbly surface. Looks like a salamander in its cage.
