I have only seen the cross ram used in rare photos of early 1970. I have a couple DVDs from the 70 season and none show the cross ram on the Pro Stock cars, but with all the classs they ran with the different combos who knows. There is a great scene where they are testing intakes and the one they were testing was a single 4bbl. No idea what class that would have been for. Landy also started with the cross ram and soon replaced it. I used a 6 pack type scoop on my 70 build as I saw the same thing you did in all the old photos I have. I have seen one photo where the car was sporting a front and rear spoiler which I had never seen before. Everytime I think I have seen it all someone finds a rare photo from back then that teaches me even more.

Not sure where someone would get the idea the 1970 car was not as competitive as it won just about everything in sight that year. Here is a sight that should help with both history and photos. Click on history in the right hand menu. http://www.ronniesox.org/home.html

Good decals but he stiffed a lot of people a year ago and never made any of it right. Ignored emails and kept the money. If he back rolling and does honest business then good for him. He has lost me and others as customers however. Kind of sad to lose customers over $20.00 here and there. So good luck and hope it all goes well for you.

Been wanting to get one of these kits to do a Pro Stocker. They are rare finds on ebay and not cheap.

I went down that road with no answers. Asked for a refund and was ignored. So I would put him on the never again list. Glad you guys had better luck.

At some point they switched to the orange but I could not find if it was after 71. I tired to find that info for a build I did and found both blue and orange photos of the 71. The orange were of a restored car I think. The Duster photos from that time I have show Ronnie and Jake standing next to a Duster and the engine appears orange. I gave up searching and went with the Ford Blue lol. Now the 68 I am doing now I have clear vintage photos of it blue.

I totally agree, I hope I did not offend you Brett. Sorry if I did. Speed city also has the Drag 500 slicks molded in rubber. I have a set from both speed city and calnaga and you can't go wrong either way. Both are very nice.

Looks good. I would not worry about the tires. There was no 71 Cuda missile as it was a Challenger in 71 and then a Cuda in 72. I did a 70 Challenger with the 71 paint job as at the time there were no decals for the 70 version. Slixx has them now. That Johan kit is a fun one to play with. Nice job!
