I like that one a lot. But 20 grand for a rotten shell, sheesh.and then the resto guy has 1700 hours into it. That's a pretty penny.

Funny, I brought my dad to nnl east a few years ago and he started picking the models up and touching antennas, mirrors and other delicates before I had a chance to tell him.

I was lucky here in Exton. We lost power from 5am to 5pm on Wednesday. We didn't see any damage from our house, but were amazed once we had TV and saw the devastation in the area. There are areas around here that are still dark, just luck of the draw! When I was driving home from work on Thursday, a lot of areas were dark, including the area with all the hotels and gas stations near the turnpike entrance. The hotel lots were full of cars so there were a lot of people camping out there in the dark. When I left for work on Friday, many of those areas were lit up, so the crews were working all night. I was watching Philadelphia news tonight and they were showing power crews from Quebec working on the local lines. I was in NJ today and on my way back every hotel parking lot was full of power crew trucks.
Day 5 without electric. Just the luck of the draw I suppose. Saying 58,000 remain without power and abington,Montgomery county is 18,000 of them ? I have friends in horsham who ha theirs restored Friday and huntingdon valley this morning. Soon I hope....

But looking on the bright side, we ARE another day closer to spring. Hang in there guys.
That's it,have to stay optimistic. I know we will enjoy spring like no other!

I appreciate it. I have a 8000w generator so fridge,tv,Internet, and two space heaters. It has more juice but trying to keep the gas consumption down. Running about $35 -$45 a day.
Basically living in the living room. It was 700,000 without at its height, down to 185,000 so the hotel rooms are scarce and we have pets as well. We have family and had offers but figured we'd grin and bear it

Day four without electricity. Snow tonight.

Might be 1/25th,my clue? He says it 10 times ?.
That is a work of art. Said he knocked out all the cars over one summer?

Bill, possibly after you send the kit back they may reimburse you. Although it's odd that it wasn't mentioned. Awesome on Moebius for sending an entire kit as a replacement

For me,internet, forums and aftermarket parts. Actually it was me stumbling upon this forum that made me want to go at it again.
Me too. Saw models at micheals and when I went home googled models and found McM

I glanced over it and saved it to read later. Look forward to the new site and thanks for the free knowledge. I appreciate it.

Just picked up my new daily driver
1998 Ford Contour SVT , this thing is a blast to drive.
Nice, I like the wheels and kit on it. A while back I had a Hyundai and had a accident, rental was a Contour and I wanted to keep it.

Today "S" stood for SOLID ICE. We didn't get any snow, it was warm enough that we had freezing rain overnight. By morning everything was solid and tree limbs and power lines were coming down left and right. We lost power around 5:30am and got it back around 5:00pm. About 80% of our county was out, most still is so we're fortunate to have power and heat once again!
We just hit 24 hrs without electric. My freezer is thawing and my house is freezing. Lol. Doesn't look good when they are saying expect a few days without power right from the start.

So I shouldn't spend my 401k on models? ?
I for one will be glad to see the day when a small box of plastic with a cool box art isn't a kings ransom.
I admit I have paid some high prices for kits from the 60's with the plans of building them all. Then I realized I wasn't ever going to get around to it(400 kits) and downsized ( kept 35 and do some purchasing periodically) probably losing money along the way.
I parlayed it into another hobby(dirtbikes)and now I stick with a small stash of everyday kits and a few resin pieces.
Thoughts on the word, "build."

I builded a built and it was more better than my other build that I builted
Honestly though, not much bothers me. Like water off a ducks back.
