  1. My girlfriend and I are celebrating our 10 years together, and living together too, this year. We went to Paris and Cote d'azur at the end of august to celebrate that
  2. I got the '71 Challenger conversion kit too, nice! Have you built your '71 Challenger yet?
  3. Nope, not you Jim I wouldn't put someone that has "Mopar" in his nickname on ignore
  4. George, do you know if he is still casting and selling parts? Nick mentioned Perry's, but I think he's not casting anymore. I sent him an email a month or two ago about his '70 Cuda conversion, and never got a reply...
  5. Why me? I figure I must have made it to some people's ignore list with that pic thing... Me, I have only one member on ignore, and I think he's not here anymore.
  6. It's a re-release they made a few years ago, not that rare, I bought one sealed kit just like yours last year for $5 at a model car show. I opened it to take a look, looks like a nice kit, but haven't started to build it yet. Looking forward to your build
  7. Here; http://smblockdodgeresins.webs.com/resinpartlist.htm I bought some parts from him, nice parts! Maybe send him an email before ordering, it's been a long time since I ordered from him, not sure if he is still casting and selling parts.
  8. Ok I just wanna apologize to everyone who saw the pic I posted in Mark's batman thread (that got deleted). The pic some of you saw was not the pic I intended to post, the pic I wanted to post was a funny batman cartoon. MikeMC tried to help me, posting the direct link to the pic (without posting the pic itself, like I did), still some people was seeing the wrong pic, and now I think he got banned for this. I wanna apologize to him too, cause this all started because of me posting a batman cartoon I already apologized to Mark via PM, because his thread got deleted because of all this. Now everyone be careful when hotlinking a pic from an unknown site, lesson learned for me. From now on, I will save the pic on my computer, then upload it to my online photo album (like fotki, photobucket,...) and then post it here. Hope this will prevent situations like this from happening again.
  9. Revell got the Cuda's bodylines wrong, all of their kits. Look at the model when finished and compare to a 1:1 car, you'll see what I mean. MPC's Cuda bodys are better, and Johan too, looks more like a Cuda to me. Plus they are 1/25 (I prefer 1/25)
  10. First, welcome! And that Revell '69 camaro kit is a great one. Here's what I use and think works best. For painting parts, if you can find Humbrol paints at a hobby store or online, this is the best paint for brush painting, especially their satin black paint, which I use a lot. I also use Testor's small bottle paints. Humbrol paint is better, but takes a while to dry, Testor's dry faster, that's why I use both, depending of what I want. My favorite glue is Humbrol precision poly, or Testor's liquid cement that comes in a plastic bottle, I don't like Testor's regular glue that comes in a tube. Primers and spray paints; I'll leave that to others as I use automotive stuff.
  11. My interests do change as time goes by, I used to play bass in bands, mostly heavy metal bands, also played some rock and blues. I still have a bass guitar, but haven't played for years. I also used to play with 1:1 cars, mostly muscle Mopars, now got tired of it and honestly, I now prefer 1/25 plastic cars, they do not rust My interest now are model cars, of course, and me and my GF recently discovered that traveling is fun In february we went to Mexico, we did visit the Mayan ruins in Tulum, also swimmed and snorkeling at Xel-Ha, and swimmed with the dolphins at Delphinus. Then in august we went to Paris, we went up the Eiffel tower, visit Le Louvre, Le chateau de Versailles, the catacombs of Paris, The Pere Lachaise cemetary (where Jim Morrison's tomb is, and we did see it, crazy how many people was there, even after all those years...), we did also visit Le chateau de Vincennes (construction 1370), l'arc de triomphe (which is way bigger than I was expecting...), also saw Notre Dame de Paris, a cruise on La Seine, and more. There's so much to see in Paris, 7 days was definitely not enough. Then we took the TGV to Nice, swimmed in the mediteranean sea, visit Le vieux Nice, also spent a day in Monaco. We are thinking on going back But now we are looking at going back on sun vacations for a week, in january or february, not sure if it will be Jamaica, or maybe Cuba. We are thinking on going back to Mexico, we really liked it there, and I wanna see Chichen Itza, Playa Del Carmen, and some snorkeling in Puerto Morelos. There's so much to do in Riviera Maya, I'm sure we will find other interesting things to do
  12. Mark is right, but let's just clarify that Chrysler were not making the wheels, the manufacturer was Kelsey-Hayes, and a few cars were sold with those rims on. You will find some info about those wheels here; http://wwnboa.org/khw.htm And here's a company that makes repros (for 1:1); http://www.specialtywheel.com/wheel-showcase/mopar/mopar-warrior-wheel.html
  13. Thanks everyone! Just like Mark said, the only kit I know that has those wheels is the MPC or AMT '69 Barracuda kit. Those wheels are not in the Daytona kit because they were not available on a Daytona. Even though those wheels were supposed to be used on Mopars for the '69 model year, they were recalled and Chrysler stopped using them in september '68, a few months before the Daytona assembly began.
  14. Hey everyone! Here's the '69 Hemi Daytona I just finished. It's the Revell pro modeler kit. I bought this kit sealed, and when I opened it, there were two sets of slicks, and no stock tires, found some tires in the parts box. I also decided to use "recall" wheels, even though I know those are not factory correct on a Daytona. Color is B5 blue with black interior and stripe. I had some trouble with the stripe, it ripped at a few places, but managed to fix it. Anyway, here's some pics;
  15. Wow very nice Mustang! Nice and clean build
  16. Awesome!

    67 Charger

    Nice Charger!
  18. Yup, ebay is not what it used to be. I've seen shipping up to $40 for a kit to ship here in Canada I also saw some people tearing kits to sell the parts, and then want $20 bucks for the wheels and tires, $15 for the body,... There are still good deals from time to time tho...
  19. Nice paint & polish job!
  20. I see a 340 six barrel decal, which is correct for a AAR, and the distributor in the rear is correct for a 340. Nice 'Cuda!
  21. Here's my '71 SuperBee and the '69 GTX '69 Camaro '69 GT500
  22. Bruno

    Fireball 500

Thanks everyone That fade paint job was easier to do than I thought, I don't have much experience with my airbrush, still it came out nice. I used automotive waterborne basecoat sprayed with my airbrush, and urethane clearcoat sprayed with my mini touch-up spray gun.
