  1. Doctor Cranky, As interested as I am in how he did the white, I am also interested in who the "printers" are and what's required to go that route. Can you enlighten me a little on that? Thanks! Art
  2. Andy, Great tutorial. In step 4, did you draw the snake in photoshop? -Art
  3. Looking great, John!
  4. Very nice, Mark! That's an awesome car and a great model. -Art
  5. I'd like to commend this thread for exalting the minutia of the insignificant.
  6. Nice job, Curt! I love that car. -Art
  7. I see brass on there. You must be a real model builder now! Looking good, Bro!
  8. Where's the sign? It cracked me up. Nice job on this one, Gregg!
  9. Thanks, Greg, it was great to see you as well. I think if you hadn't shown up I could have taken over the magazine... BTW, I didn't get a shot of your car, but I noticed it and thought it was real nice. I was impressed. It had real nice wheels on it too. Lastly, coming with John was a real treat for me. I had him cornered for about 24 hours in the car, so I was able to pick his brain quite a bit. I'm sure that's going to help my builds! John, The pleasure was all mine. Congrats on all your wins as well! -Art
  10. Another round of pics from the GSL. http://public.fotki.com/alaski48/gsl-xxiii/
  11. Pete, I haven't checked it today, but last night the link at the top showed the 2011 winning cars with no names, but the link at the bottom with winner names was from '09.
  12. The winning models are posted in the presentation on the GSL main page now. http://www.gslchampionship.org/
  13. Very cool. I hope some kid picks one up and is inspired to build a model car.
  14. As a go kart racer myself, I love it!!! Might need a belly pan, though. Great work!!!!!!
  15. Very cool, Curt. Nice job!
  16. Wow, John, that's nice! Looks so real... Just taking a break!
  17. Looks awesome, John! I'm glad the decals worked for you. -Art
  18. Yup, that's me, in the flannel.
  19. You got a picture of me, so that's all that matters...
  20. Luis, I recommend you go. I went last year and would go again this year, but I have conflict that weekend, otherwise I would be there. The promoter, Chris Hale, does a good job and has some cool awards lined up. Also, it's in conjunction with a 1:1 car show, so there is a lot to look at outside the model contest as well, along with food vendors, even a beer garden. It's a good time. -Art
  21. I put them in the contest section too, but here's a link to the pics I took: http://public.fotki.com/alaski48/citrus-nationals/
  22. Thanks for posting your pics, guys. Here are mine: http://public.fotki.com/alaski48/citrus-nationals/ -Art
