  1. Congrats, Kevin! I was there and saw the shock on your face. I thought your car was pretty cool. -Art
  2. Mike, On this windscreen, I dipped it in future, then after it dried, I masked off the outer surface and sprayed Tamiya smoke through an airbrush to the inside. I may have been able to smoke it first, as I think some guys do that, but I didn't. I only wish I had put on a few less coats on the smoke so it was a little lighter, but I was generally pleased with it and it's still translucent. Good Luck, -Art
  3. Nice job!
  4. Terry, Thanks for posting that. I've had some trouble with my home made decals bleeding when I soak them, and never thought to brush the water on the back as the author suggests. I think that will help big-time. -Art
  5. Chuck, Nice review. I picked one of these up about a year ago on ebay for about 30 bucks and I agree with everything you said. I'll tell you, the surfboards actually are pretty accurate looking and I've gotten compliments on them for their realism from actual surfers, and I think they help set the model apart. The racks on mine were a bit warped, but they still look OK, and I had to scratch a new antenna, but other than that I built it stock. I think you'll enjoy it very much. -Art
  6. Nice job, Curt!
  7. Thanks for the response, Len. I'll have to get a set!
  8. Great job, guys! Those are beautiful cars. I have one under my belt so far, and more to come. Thanks for sharing your paint techniques. Does anybody know, are the R&M wheels and tires different than stock in some way? -Art
  9. Looking good! Nice to see your pinstripe tip in action. -Art

  14. Killer. As usual...
  15. Nice car, Curt. And that wheel-less Vette was cool!
  16. Curt, I enjoyed talking to you as well. You look a little different than your picture, though! Jairus, great talking to you too, and John, I thoroughly enjoyed driving up with you.
  17. Thanks to you all for sharing the pics. This was my first time to the NNL West and it was bigger than anything I have been to yet. I enjoyed it a lot, but it goes by so fast! I'd definitely make the trek from SoCal again. -Art
  18. Wow! The doctor is IN!!!!! Spectacular.
  19. Really cool, Mark!
  20. One of my favorite cars. Very nice job!
  21. Thanks, yvan! Thanks Jairus! My home-made spray booth doubles as my photo booth with a couple pieces of foam-core poster board inside of it. I just used a simple point and shoot on a tripod, but the shots turned out better than I expected.
  22. Yeah! That's real nice...
  23. What a nice ride!
