  1. Very cool Brent. Do you have any links to other off road builds you have done?? This is looking great. http://www.race-dezert.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7420 You need to see this truck before doing body work.. This is the exact body style you are replicating. Keep it up.. Looks awesome so far Doug R
  2. This is killing me! The notch is my favorite vee wee. I sure hope they are made available and affordable. Great work Bill, as usual. Are those type 2 bumpers? Doug
  3. No Jairus, Gregg told me he uses a medium texture roller and Dutch boy paint on his builds...LOL! Doug R
  4. I guess mine would be scratch building roll cages and picking odd ball subjects to model. Doug

Those are killer. What base color did you use on the Mica Blue? Thanks. Doug
  6. Very cool Bob. I dig the whole rat rod scene. Doug
  7. Thanks guys. I never know how these will come out when I get the idea.LOL! I appreciate the kind words,it drives me to do a better job on the next. Doug
  8. Well, I am gonna call this one done. Hope you like it. Doug R link to more pics here http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y104/shifty217/
  9. Chassis is done. Fuel cell, battery box, seats, steering wheel,etc.. in. I just have to make and mount 4 socks, rear axles and brakes. Then it is assemble and finish time.I hope I can get it done by saturday. Doug R
  10. Looks great Clint. BTW- Jake makes an Atlas 2 t-case in resin. Going 4 link all the way? Doug R
  11. Great job, I may copy that for a lifted version. What is that motor from?? Very nice on all of them. Doug R
  12. so i see you have a deep sump on there? how'd you do that? cut up another case? looks nice. i wish i could bend up some exhaust that nice for my race ghia. that enigne looks differnt. where did it come from. never seen a revell engine THAT nice.
  13. That looks really good. Doug R
  14. Great job Newbaum! That's one of my favorite movies. Gonna do the Pie wagon too? Doug R
  15. The motor is done as it gets. I hate doing the motors,I am not patient at all.LOL! So here goes. Not much else done,I hopt to have it done by the 21rst. Doug
  16. ANother sweet project MJ. I wish I had one of those cabs. I heard RMR resin was gonna do the 61-66 cab? Doug
  17. True and thanks. Was not trying to steal the thread, just a fan. By the way,I am doing a baja tamiya ghia and found some great webber carbs and k&n air filters. I hope it comes out ok. There was a Pro street Revell corvette from the hot rod series of kits. It has 2 great webbers and 2 air cleaners. Also the Monogram sprint cars have killer k&N filters. Please keep us posted on your awesome build. Doug R
  18. I love those pictures. Truck came out really cool. Doug
  19. awesome rag !! The Fuchs wheels are great. Are you gonna modify the engine? Any color ideas? Not trying to hijack your thread, but here is a 56 I just did. More pics please. Doug R
  20. Bro, that thing needs a driver figure and put on a dio base just like it's sitting. The camber change looks killer with the wheels turned. What are you doing for shock bases?? Can't tell what you did? Thanks. Doug
  21. Probably not? Unless it has a seperate pan like the AMT manx kit. You could probably modify it with styrene sheet around the front end and make it with no top. It kinda looks manx like without some of the goofy body parts. Good Luck. Doug R
  22. After sitting untouched for about a month,I got a little more done. Chassis only 50-60% done though. Doug R
  23. Great job on the bed conversions guys. Nick, those Irocs are only about $9 on RPP and he ships really fast. Jake, you need to cast that short bed too.LOL! Doug
  24. The chevelle I have never seen. I see the rest of them all the time. Arrowhead aluminum sells ground hawg tires that are corrected. The mad Mudder revell blazer has a lift you could use on any monogram gmc. There are alot of better looking wheels and tires now in the aftermarket. I would suggest doing your own lifts on any kit you like? The high roller lifts were essentially just huge shackle lifts with little to no spring arch. The ford has the coolest wheels I think. Monogram/Revell made those body vehicles in many platforms so you could replicate your childhood builds one way or another? Good luck. Doug R
