  1. I'm going to have to go with real on it. Something about the reflections in the hood...we'll see tomorrow.

    Sketch Pad Art

Hi Jairus, I was curious if you've ever done any variations on Boyd's Aluma Coupe? I remember seeing some cool illustrations years ago, but I can't remember where, and searching online has proved futile. Thanks! Cheers,
  3. x2 to everything that has been said. If I hadn't seen pictures of all the modifications in process, I wouldn't believe. That is beautiful!
  4. Did they rip off the Delorean design, or vica versa?
  5. First I sat in the corner shaking, then started hitting refresh repeatedly ...then decided I could better spend my time packing. Moving in 10 days. I can't wait to get the hobby stuff unpacked at the new place.
  6. Fantastic job! Paint looks just right and the engine detail is spot on. I still really like the white lettering on the tires on this one too. Cheers!

    '41 Willys

Beautiful job (on the red one too). You're right, there's so many ways to build these. I'm going to have to pick on up for myself at some point. Cheers.
  8. Nice job on all of them. I really dig that Ferrari though. The wheel selection really sets it off.

    1956 Nomad

Thanks Steve, it was a chore to get that 454 under the hood, but it was worth it! I think it makes a difference. More power!
  10. Thanks for the kind words everyone. I can't wait until 2011 to add to the collection! I'm moving in a couple weeks so hobby stuff is on the back burner.
  11. Jason, can you post a link to where you read this? I couldn't find it. I'd be curious to know how recently the kit has to have been purchased. I've got a couple on the list that I bought in November. Thanks.
  12. This is coming along nicely. Outstanding weathering job. The overall vibe is just right. Keep it up!
  13. Great job! Saw one almost just like this at a recent car show. Blue/ Black with red accents. Beautiful truck.
  14. I like this one a lot. The big wheels remind me of a tractor with out it's tracks. Great job!
  15. Looks great to me. I don't think I've seen this car before. The only thing that bothers me about it is that the wheel wells look too large compared to the size of tires; but that's a design thing and not a build issue. Love the detail work in the engine bay.
  16. Well, here's my group shot of 2010 builds. I'm happy I got 5 done, surprised really. Happy new year to everyone and thank you to the MCM guys that keep this place running smoothly and to everyone for all of the inspiration, information, tip & tricks and advice!

    1956 Nomad

I was able to squeak one more out for 2010. The Nomad had been sitting idle for a while, waiting for more BMF. I figured I might as well finish it up and put it on the shelf. Here's how she turned out. It's not perfect, but it was a lesson is paint masking and BMF technique. Over all I'm happy with the finished product. Thanks for looking!
  18. That's a beautiful pair of shoeboxes you've got there. The paint is amazing!
  19. This one is real.

    VW Lug Bug

This thing just makes me smile. What a cool little ride! I love the scoop on the tall risers, nice touch!
  21. Well hey now, there's something you don't see at the construction site every day! I would hate to see it get dirty! Nice job. Is that a kit or did you kit bash/ scratch build most of it? BTW, nice choice of motor-vation!
  22. Stunning build. Who's ready for a 1950's road trip?
  23. Agreed, the headlights are a nice touch. Very nice build, came out real clean.
  24. Looks good! Love the color and the stance looks just right too. Nice details on the engine.
  25. Great job. Not overdone. It just looks correct. Where are the wheels from? They look sweet.
