  1. Thanks for letting me jump in late Nick. Yep I cast them,,,I mastered the cab a couple weeks ago. Working on a 65' Chevy Extra cab now. Wont have it done in time to build one of those for this build though.
  2. Hey Nick Is it too late to jump in your street truck build ??? I think I can have one finished by the deadline. I saw you had let a couple 55's in how about a 53' Ford Extra Cab.
  3. I think the builds are great, congrats !!! Enjoyed the pics. Keep them coming.
  4. Cant' say about everyone else, but in my case I am just getting started at the resin work and my web site was put up to sell off a large kit collection a few years ago. I have added a couple of resin pages but for tryin to get enough pieces cast to go to Atlanta with this weekend ( just got the molds for the new items done first of the week ) it was either spend a half a day or so in the website working on it or making items to sell and given my current cash flow ( my real biz tanked, was based on the housing market - thats why I have got into the resin work ) it was a no brainer to get the items to sell cast first. I will try to have the site reworked asap.
  5. Congrats on finding those hard to find buggers you were lookin for Dave,,, I at last after chasin one for the better part of 5 years landed the last kit to complete my collection of 1964 AMT annual issue 3 in 1 kits,,,the 1964 Olds F-85 Hardtop. I thought I would never be able to pick one up and there was no way I was going near it with the glue bottle,,,,so,,,I cast it outa resin, now I can build it, well really I have 2 started,,,Thats the cool part of doing resin work, it makes me able to enjoy building kits I would never in the original kit.
  6. Hey Dave, Let me start by saying that you hit the nail on the head with your view/outlook on life. You have to be happy in your own skin and do your very best to make all those around you that way as well, friends loved ones and even maybe this bunch of model buildin junkies here,,,lol,,, Me I thank the Good Lord every morning that he grants me the chance to open my eyes and enjoy another day here on this rock with my friends and family, tooo many did not get that chance today. Think about it people. Life is way to short to go through it looking at the bad side of every thing. I know people like that, one of my best friends even, I can go hang out with him for awhile and well if I would let it it would depress me as well,,,but I just hope one day he sees the light and the better side of life. As for this hobby of ours,,,well I think it is the best, as good as it gets. My 6 year old son is starting to build some simple kits now and to watch him get one together brings back a ton of memories from the past. I started building at about that age and pretty much quit when the teenage years, cars, girls and all came around and got back into modeling when my son was born and gave up all my big boy toys, motorcycles, race cars etc. I can say it was a very good trade because now some of my best friends were met through the modeling. A great bunch of guys to hang out with a couple nights a month at our club meetings, and yep I take the lil man along sometimes. The guys give me a hard time because he has taken more finished kits to the meetings than I have. But oh well I am having a blast with this hobby and can't wait to get to Atlanta this weekend. Hope to see some of you there. Hope You All Have A Great & Blessed Day !!! & Remember Be Happy, Life's Toooo Short not to be !!!!
  7. Hey Guys I checked this piece out at our last club meeting. Its like all the rest of K-Dogs pieces, Super Nice. If you are looking for a B-Body no way to go wrong with this piece. Yo Kenny, ya packed up and ready to go yet ???,,,LOL,,,
  8. Hey Del, That will not be a problem at all. Body, hood & bumpers,,,30.00. I hate pulling those interior tubs anyways,,lol,,
  9. You asked for it, alot jammed in a small space but it's where I get it done,,, This is where the building goes on,,,working on converting a 61' Impala into a Bel Air, then I am casting it and converting it to a Bel Air post with the porch roof on the back to build up our uncle's drag car the "Shade Tree Special" he has been racing it since 1967, it still holds some IHRA Super Stock 1/I world records ( classes they done away with ) so I guess it always will. This is the first year I have not saw that car go down the track in years, he has cancer. Sad. This is where I do the clayin work for the resin, Thats the 64' Olds & 64' Falcon clayed up and ready to make molds ( they are done now, these pics were taken sat. before last. This is where the resin work is done, have a few more pots I need to get set up,,,, Well thats where I spend most of my time. Hope you enjoy.
  10. You ain't doing nothing wrong,,I have not had time to get in there and get that website updated since I done the IH9300 hood conversion a few weeks ago. I will try to get the site up to date before we leave or asap after we get back from Atlanta. Now ya tell me the 320's nice after I order some diff. resin,,lol,,aint that life. I can always pick up more 320,,it dose look good and slick as a babies butt.
  11. Hey George - Dont feel bad my friend,,I picked up the kit I copied off E-Bay awhile back after bidding on everyone that came on there for the last 4 years, It was the last 3 in 1 kit issued in 64' that I did not have so I went way over the top with the bids, but now I have all the annual issue kits from the year I was hatched out,,,LOL,,,I am an Olds freak and really wanted to build one but could not bring myself to put glue on the orig. kit so it seemed like the right thing was to cast it in resin. Maybe I will clay up that engine when we get back from Atlanta next week,,I really want to do the dual superchargers anyway, I think they are pretty cool looking. These are cast from Smooth-On 320,,,I have some diff. resin ordered but it looks like its going get here too late to get any cast before the show this weekend,,not good as I only have 6 of the Olds ready to go and not that many of the Falcons and very little resin left,,,grrrrrrr, I could have had more of the 320 in just a few days and the other has been coming for going on 2 weeks. looks like I blew it on that one. Have A Great Night
  12. I am going with Model,,,only reason being it seems that the tires have parting seams in the middle and I have never saw a 1:1 tire made that way,,,I could be way off I guess,,,but sticking with Model,,, Eric Jones "Porky" P&P Vintage Kits & Resin Works www.ppvintagekits.com
  13. Last but not least, This part works with the Revell / Germany Peterbilt 359 kit to convert it to a Day Cab. Eric Jones "Porky" P&P Vintage Kits & Resin Works www.ppvintagekits.com
  14. This fits any of the AMT, AMT/Ertl 32' Ford Roadster Kits Eric Jones "Porky" P&P Vintage Kits & Resin Works www.ppvintagekits.com
  15. I can see the '67 Mustang chassis working well under that one! You are right on it,,,it works the best that I have found,,,you have to either take the top off the transmission tunnel though or the bottom out of the interior tub and fit it to the mustang chassis. I went for taking the top off the transmission tunnel, kinda like the 68' Shelby kit is cast and it worked out pretty good. Eric Jones "Porky" P&P Vintage Kits & Resin Works www.ppvintagekits.com
  16. Hello Bill - Thanks for the good words on the castings, I am just getting started at the resin biz. but it seems to be going well so far. The best choice I have found for a donor for the Olds is the amt, amt/ertl 65' GTO,,,the chassis is the same part minus the screw holes and the glass fits to a tee as well. I am thinking about casting the engine from the olds kit as I have not found another correct engine for the car if it is to be built stock, whats your thoughts on that ??? Thanks Again & Have A Great & Blessed Day !!! Eric Jones "Porky" P&P Vintage Kits & resin Works www.ppvintagekits.com

I am trying now to figure out how to get some better pics in my post, found a post here by Clay Jones on doing it and have about got it figured out, I think,,,will see soon. I sell on E-Bay under the user name porkynpetunia (not listing anything until next week after the Atlanta Show) and have an outdated website that I need to get my last stuff listed on as well its pp.vintagekits.com I dont have the 53' on there yet though (just pulled the first one last night),,,or the 64' Olds F-85, 64' Falcon Sprint that I have just finished. 23. Hello - I will be there sat up and peddling resin, we are going down and setting up with Kenny from Bandit Resins, I think a few more members from our club ( Carolina Kustom Modelers ) are going but not selling. I have only been one time before, I think in 2004, it was a good show then, best I can remember there were other subjects besides the cars, I know there were some killer built up semi trucks. Hope this helps & Have A Great & Blessed Day !!! Eric Jones aka "Porky" P&P Vintage Kits & Resin Works www.ppvintagekits.com
