Hey Guys the little man built his first kit of 2010 this afternoon and he made it clear that I was to post some WIP pics and also put it under glass for him. He is 6 years old and still on the snap kits but doing a pretty good job with them. This one took him about 45 mins. start to finish. Well here it is, his 1/32 scale #28 Davie Allison T-Bird, Hope You Enjoy and I am sure any comments would be welcomed by him. Thanks for looking, Hope you enjoyed !!!

Kenworth Daylight Studio Sleeper Cab
Porky replied to Porky's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Hello Jimmy, You would need the windshield from a T600 ( I hope to have vacuum formed glass for the windshield soon ) the rest of the glass can be made from clear sheet stock, its all flat. but to use the 900L hood you would have to have a forward axle frame like in the new issue KW W900 from revell germany, the T600 hood will fit on the studio cab and be built as a T600 Studio. I sell just the cabs or cab & hood together. I hope to have a T800 hood soon for the cab as well & will be offering a daylight day cab soon that will work with all the hoods. -
Rear Suspension is about done and ready to be cast,,,ladder bars, coil springs and shocks,,same as the 1:1 car. the parts are just set up and not glued so the shocks are not in the pics, could not get them to stay in place, they run from the rear of the ladder bar plate to the frame.

1961 Chevy Impala, Bel Air Super Stock Chassis
Porky replied to Porky's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Hey Guys, Thanks for the good words on the casting. I have had a couple people ask about hte rear suspension parts needed to build up the chassis ( front end uses the kit parts ) I am working on the parts, or really about have them done to cast also. It was all done to copy our uncles old super stock Bel Air so what I have made is what is under his car, ladder bars, shocks and coil springs. I will stick a few pics on here of the parts. You could do the rear suspension with a 4 link to I think have not had time to try it yet though but the scratch builder wont have a problem with it either way. I have about 12 or so of these cars to build thats why I am casting all the parts to cut the build time down. I have cut down a set of shocks to fit but could not get them to stay in place for the pics ( they run from the back plate of the ladder bars to the frame ). Its just all set in place and not glued. Thanks Again guys and Have a Great New Year !!!! -

Dad'S 53 Ford Extended Cab Updated 2-3-10 interior and color.
Porky replied to Jason Vandergriff's topic in WIP: Model Cars
I was thinking about doing one of the 53's in a 4 door version, the Extra cab is selling OK so maybe the 4 door 53' will happen sometime this year or I should say next year. -

Hey Mark, Sure when I get the 61' Bel Air Post roof body done and cast it it will look just ike the resin in the post except it will have the Bel Air trim, I still have to add the side trim to the project car. Working on sendin ya those pics now.
-
Hey Mark, Thanks on the body but its not one of mine. It's a MCW body. I am working on converting a 61' Impala Hardtop into a Bel Air, gona cast it and then cut the top off one and add the post roof and recast it to have the 61' Bel Air Post roof. I still have to figure out how to / the best way to add the Bel Air side trim back on the Impala thats where that project is at now, have a hard time finding the right scale stock to do the trim.

Hey Jeff, You might be right,,,I am sitting here looking at it scratchin my head, I thought it looked good about an hour ago,,,the things you do at 3:00 in the morning. I'm gona sleep on it and see what happens in the morning. stay tuned.

Worked on the Supra a bit more tonight, got the roof back together and the glass fit back into it, but kept looking at it and the roof line just did not suit me so I added a bit of plastic over both doors and I think it gave it a much better look, let me know what ya think. stuck a DOHC Hemi in it for the mock up pics, it fits but still not sure which way I am going on an engine.

Happy New Year, Everybody !!!
-
Hey Dave, I had thought about sticking the chassis on the web site, not sure on the price yet though. I will hook you up with one or however many ya need. Shoot me a PM and we will work it out, no problem. Hey Donnie, Thanks for the Good Words !!!
-
Got the chassis finished and cast in resin, I have about 10 of these cars to build and did not want to have to do the chassis that many times. More pics soon.
-
This is one I started hackin on today, pie cut the C-Pillars, removed the b-pillars, cut off the windshield frame to lay it back. Going for a 4 to 5 inch shorter than stock height roof line. Mickey Thompson Sportsmans under the rear. Not sure on an engine yet ??? I know why a pro street Supra,,,your guess is as good as mine.

Toooooooo Cooooooool, Your The Man !!!!! -
Hello John & Welcome to the forum. I checked out your builds they are very nice, I really like the V-8 Buick bike, toooo cooool. I also saw the merc/caddy build and I really like it as well. From looking at the pics of it and the one you were said to have copied, well all I got to say is they look nothing alike and yours looks to be a far better build as far as having everything / all the custom work flowing together and the paint work is killerrrrrr. Keep posting them builds !!!

Hey Gregg, The new chat room is pretty cool. I also really like the updates and the new look of the forum and don't seem to be having the problems I hear everybody else talkin about, at any rate keep up the good work !!!
