  1. What are you trying to make them do? Solenoids only work for short distances no matter the strength. If you are trying to make hydraulics work in scale... then maybe try pneumatics! In other words... compressed air. Leaks are nothing and don't damage the model. You can seal a rod in a tube with "O" rings or thick grease. Maybe we had better see the specific application?
  2. Ahhh.... LIKE A GOD Tommy! I am a Led Head too but Mr Page is earth bound like the rest of us mortals. ZOSO is my fav.. by the way. Followed by #III.
  3. Pretty neat truck there Mark!
  4. You could try a little heat.. but that would melt the plastic. Lacquer thinner.... ? Nope, that would melt the plastic... Your screwed! Sorry Steve, love your truck tho Edit: on second thought, try freezing it and then tug at the part. The differental in materials may be just enough...?!?!
  5. Nice thread Bill. First class work!!!
  6. Here is the best Acrylic Lacquer thinner money can buy and what I use to thin the HOC paint! 8)
  7. Eldon Adams! Took me a minute to figure out what you were talking about and who you were! I don't read all posts... it would take someone all day to do so and I have work to do. However, I did see your message and I am glad you like the paint. Also happy to see you joining the MCM Forums! As for the 1/8th scale Corvette... what year? I remember a '67 convertible in 1/8th scale but don't believe they have one of the current cars out in that scale. You might consider posting that question as a new thread and see where that goes! Also, on this forum we need your last name posted in the signature text box. Thanks "Gene"!
  8. Dang Henry! I was looking for pictures of that for an Ask Gregg and Jairus question. Where did you find them? How'd you like a job writing the column... Ask Gregg and Henry? Ask Gregg and Zeb? Hmmmmmm, then you can get the hate mail. I like it!
  9. RRUUUFFFF RUFFFF!
  10. Zeb is right, go to Radio Shack - might be tough from Sweden... but, what you are looking for is one of those tiny little radio control HO cars. It contains all you will need including two tiny solenoids that are used to steer the front wheels. If you make your own then you would have to start with very fine wire or you'll only succeed in creating heat. The tiny motor used to power the rear wheels could roll down the windows… and it comes wireless to boot! Anyway, check out the cars, they sell for 20 to 45 bucks here in the States. 8)
  11. Andy, no political statments are allowed on this forum so I edited your post. There are plenty of other forums available for you to post your personal views, just not here! 8)
  12. No frame but I know what you mean Henry. Great idea doing a Shelby Falcon. Gregg and I played with that idea for his Rancharo before he sold it. I would go white with blue stripes for max effect! So... how's the weather there in paradise?
  13. ARRrrrrgggg, why do you guys persist on posting these titillating headlines?
  14. Looking very nice Art! That is exaclly the way I build my first Woody by the way.
  15. Hey Art! I only open the doors if it's feasible. Most of the time my cars are not designed for opening doors just because of the over engineering required to hinge, latch and create decent doorjambs. The sickness is the more you handle a project, the more you see things that can be done… but SHOULD they be done? Your truck looks great by the way! The doors actually LOOK like they could open and that is good enough.
  16. Welcome Mike! Beautiful work on that BMF. Very nice! The wood on the table really pops and compliments the blue of the body in your pictures. Oh, could you please put your first and last name in the Signature text box found in the Profile section of this board. Thank you.
  17. David, depends on how you sort the list. click on Memberlist and see for yourself! 8)
  18. We add a zero....
  19. Your busted Charlie! Need your last name please.
  20.
  21. That is just CRAZY!!
  22. Beautiful Irvin, just beautiful! Got any pics under the hood or beneath? Or is this a curbside? At any rate, very nice build.
